Regarding the head ~ *hopefully this drawing will work* this is a generic head shape to make the kind of domed head (you can find it in pretty much any kind of pattern, so I'm not really giving away my secrets Giggle Giggle Giggle Giggle Giggle ) You can change the shape of the nose to suit whatever kind of face you like, so make it sharper and more prominent an angle if you want a defined nose, or smooth the curve if you want a gentler shape to the nose. The central piece is the long piece, that has a flat end on the bit that joins the nose, and the other end goes into a smooth point. You match the point of the nose (or wherever you like) to the centre of the flat end and sew all the way along until you reach the point at the other end Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod

Yep, and most possibly I'll be with my Lady Loki costume I'm preparing (or more likely part of it - I'll do the horned tiara later with another friend of mine who will be the movie Loki - yeah, on this year's con two Lokis and two times the trouble :D (Big Grin) )

I am preparing my own cosplay =D (Big Grin) My first real.. expanded cosplay though - and I am not at all Loki-material, but well, I occasionally cause trouble and I can quite do the smile, so I should probably just do it.

And hop around as chibi-loki.
For I am 5". Not more. Oops.

Nice :) (Smile) Good luck with the cosplay. I'm an avid cosplayer myself - I've been cospalying a lot of things since 2008.
And just for the record I'm not that tall either - I'm like 5'3" (if speaking in centimetres - 1m and 63-64cm)so I'll be weraing high heels for the purpose. Though at least I won't need a wig - my hair is black

Oh my hair is short and blonde, quite horrible, wig time! I am really trying hard but I am.. 17 now and i have started cosplaying avidly this year. First appearence as Emma Frost of X-Men, I fear.

Well I am trying - we don't have a lot of cons here in The Netherlands I fear :( (Sad) It's really sad, I wish I'd live somewhere they had way more. We don't even have a comic Con here - just an animecon.

Well in Bulgaria (where I am :) (Smile) ) we didn't have much cons either but in the past few years (to be precise since 2005) a group of enthusiasts started organising cons (they later on became an official non-profit organisation ) - like the annual Aniventure, a cosplay oriented Aniplay and more stuff. At first they were purely anime oriented (as far as cosplay goes)but last year the ppl who organise them decided to drop that limitation. They're still mainly anime oriented but as far as cosplay goes there started appearing a lot of other-than-anime-related - this year we had a whole Witcher group, last year - Batman: Arkham City :) (Smile)
And by the way I've seen your pics in your gallery - you have a really nice hair. As for the age - I started at the age of 18 so don't worry - you'll get experience with time, no one's ever perfect from the start. Plus there are a ton of tutorials over the net for prop making, wig styling and so on. I can help too if you need any :) (Smile)

Ghehe thank you so much! I love doing it, it's really quite something remarkable. I hope to finish my cosplay this summer so I can wear it in the Fall. Aside from my Loki cosplay I have two others finished already, to be Watson from BBC's Sherlock and Deanerys from Games of Thrones. Both are, however, in company with someone else (Sherlock and a GoT group). I hope I can go to the Comic Con next year. We have such conventions as well! AnimeCon and Abunai are like these grande cosplay cons, but Comic characters are not really liked a lot.

However Disney characters /always/ work.
