Wow! Love the Borderlands 2 stuff! Do you think given time you'd be able to turn them into actual airsoft guns?

I will post a link to a video of the gun in action as of todays build later tonight once I have it edited : D

they are actual airsoft guns. There is a WE Glock inside each of them, in some of the pictures you can see it : )

Yeah, I took a closer look at them after I posted that. XD
It's late, don't judge me too harshly... >.<
I'm really impressed. You could sell these as conversion kits on a large scale if you could find a manufacturer. :3 And maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but I can easily see AR15 and many other style platforms as convertable for use.
And now I'm just piggybacking off your idea, so I'll just leave that now. XD Sorry, I have a bad habit of doing that. -_-
All I know is, I'd buy one.

Haha! Awesome! I want one even more now!
About the suppressor: Is it simply hiding a barrel extension, or is it actually functioning as a suppressor? I only ask because I haven't heard a WE Glock firing full-auto before.

Stoops-a In reply to snowytony94 [2013-01-16 07:42:40 +0000 UTC]
as of right now it is serving no purpose. The inner barrel stays inside the glock and never exceeds past the outer barrel.
I am currently working on the internals of the mock suppressor. I have some silencing foam cut and ready to go. I am just working on the inner barrel for the mock suppressor and cutting the slits in it. The reason being for the foam to suck up the exhaling gas (essentially silencing the "blast")
So what you are hearing is the gun stock and not being suppressed/silenced

Nice! You'll have to put up a comparison video. I have seen the results of tests done by Airsoft International on the effects of suppressors, but I'd rather have an audio reference to compare it with.

hahah, no worries I am not judging you Yeah if you have seen my schematic for these guns you will see I have a bit more to do but yeah!
I would love to have people buy these and use them in games. I feel also that these guns are a lot less intimidating due to the bright colors so law enforcement should not have a big problem with them.
The video is currently going up now, I will post the link once it is up : )
Thanks for the support though! I always enjoy having others help with ideas and to be able to grow on them

Woo! I know over here in England they'd be fun for people, especially beginners, since our laws have become very strict on owning "Two-Tone" airsoft guns and Realistic Imitation Firearms.
Years ago, no-one cared, but what with all the calls the police got about people running around with guns in the street and fields and suchlike, they clamped down on it.
We've nearly had it banned entirely. :/

Stoops-a In reply to snowytony94 [2013-01-16 00:18:06 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, its somewhat the same thing here in the states. Luckily most youths with airsoft guns have the cheap clear pistols. But thankfully our distributors in California are very strict about the use of the guns we buy and always tell us to keep the orange tip on the gun and to only use them on designated fields.
Of course we still have the kids who wont listen and that got a kid killed not to long ago because he was aiming it at a cop. I say the kid had it coming to him.
There has been a ban for most airsoft guns in the LA area, they just want the airsoft guns to be painted bright colors. So going full circle, mine are brightly colored. So if this ban spreads, I am fine.
The only issue I see is that you say this should be for beginners. I know you don't know much about the gun inside or the kit, but it isn't too cheap to make, and the gas pistol (glock) inside the kit is 100+ dollars. The kit around it has cost me another 100+ dollars as it came from hong kong and being altered so much. I don't see a beginner using this gun too much just because of price, and secondly this gun can compete fairly (300-400fps accurately) with intermediate to pro level guns/players. (I am not angry if this is how it is coming off XP I am just trying to explain what this Airsoft gas blow back gun is capable of)
But yeah, things used to be loose and law free. I remember you could give a kid a pellet gun back in the day and there was no question about if it was wrong.

Yeah, I think anyone stupid enough to point a gun at a cop over there is asking for it. XD
I've heard of the call for banning airsoft in LA, and it's stupid. It's many times less lethal than actual firearms (taking into account bizarre accidents and shootings by cops). I don't condone a complete ban on all firearms at all, but banning the relatively harmless ones is stupid.
I don't know, $200 is what, about Β£130 at the minute? My rifle cost Β£40 (about $64) and that's only because I went for the really questionable end of the market for quality. Most beginners here are prepared to fork out about Β£200 ($320) for a decent rifle OR pistol. I think the prices for imitation firearms are much higher here than in the states to put people off owning them without a licence.
On the subject of FPS most site limits are about 350fps here, and I think a lot of yours are 400+, even in fully automatic? So if you could guarantee it around that mark...
And as a full kit (or as a conversion) I think plenty of people would be willing to pay for it whatever the cost, just for the sake of having something wildly different. XD

In my eyes, its just kids being stupid because of their parents not taking responsibility for them and raising them correctly. The most recent gun man was mentally ill and his family did nothing to help him so of course he went mad and shot a bunch of people.
What brand and what kind of rifle do you have?
It may be that it is more costly there but I can not confirm that, I know that my first gun was a G&G Raider (M4) for $140 USD.
The fields that I play at have a max of 400 fps for full auto AEGs/GBBs and a max of 500 fps for single shot snipers.
Yeah, I am going out this saturday to play and will be bringing the kit to play with. I hope I get some people asking about it XP

Mine's just a Double Eagle G36C replica, bought for just under Β£40 since it was on special at the time. I'll try to get a picture of it on here sometime with me wearing what little combat clothing I've managed to put together!
It serves my purpose at the moment as getting used to actually holding and carrying it, as well as reloading and aiming quickly. Eventually I'd like to upgrade to a higher spec G36, but possibly a K model or longer, and have a decent sidearm to work with. So possibly a variation on your model would be perfect as a submachine gun secondary. Although I think I would have an extended barrel inside a mock suppressor instead of the suppression effect.

ahh so you are still new to the sport. you could do that however I just upgraded my inner barrel to a RA-tech 100mm inner barrel can it shoots straight and much further than the stock 100mm inner barrel.

I am, yeah. Having only turned 18 recently means I can finally buy my own weapons since my parents would not buy them on my behalf before, and I didn't want to risk being the only person in England that got arrested for buying a rifle while underage! XD
I see, is it a tightbore? Or just higher quality all around?
