What's to say? I like to draw. I like to write. I love comic books (or used to) so much on my work revolves around superheroes from an original setting. For the most part, I do my sketches in pencil and scan them in to do digital inking and coloring in photoshop. Occasionally, I'll do something completely in photoshop, but usually schematics and maps or graphics.Personal Quote: A still more glorious dawn awaits...

Viconia's pretty cool too.
The texture in your work is pretty good.

Really? I've been thinking of making it smoother in photoshop.

Do you work in photoshop much?
It can have a detrimental effect on texture.
I used to work primarily in pencil and markers and paint and inks, but now, I just scan my pencils in and do everything else in photoshop. And one of the things I find myself missing the most is the sense of texture. Photoshop is just...really smooth.
A lot of folks who work primarily in photoshop learn how to make textures, but for me it's a challenge.

Not much, only a little bit. But when I was writing my previous comment to you I thought that my boyfriend (who works a lot with ps) could help me but yesterday he told me that he doesn't know how, so I'd have to learn it by myself.
Yeah, maybe it would have been easier if I made it in ps from beginning to end.

When it comes down to it, PS is just another tool available to the artist. If you want to work primarily in PS, that's cool. It works out well for a lot of folks. But I guess what I'm saying is that your pencils are pretty strong on their own, and you might not really need PS. You know?
Just sayin'.
But learning how to use PS isn't difficult. If your boyfriend works with it a lot, he may be able to give you some tips. And there are plenty of tutorials out there. I learned through trial and error, basically.
Anyway, keep up the good work.

Yes but sometimes PS can give an impact to the drawing that it's effect is not good but awesome.
I'm sure he can instruct me somehow. He uses PS mainly to make collages and graphics though.
Thanks!

I don't normally groove on faerie pics, y'know? It's not my thing. But what you created just had so much emotion and depth. A lot of complexity. Usually, I see faeries, I just go right past. But your pic made me stop and think and wonder. Like, there's a story there.
