Thanks very much for getting back to me. (The forum thread is now closed if you are wondering)

Unfortunately I'm not selling my art yet, probably something to do with lazyness, but I am looking to improve constantly and it feels like my current tablet might be holding me back somewhat.

Actually the thing that was so frustrating was that I was using my trust tablet in Painter and it was rubbish, really unresponsive. So it is great to hear you mention that program.

A good suggestion about getting an intuos3 if I want to save some money. I'm glad to hear you confirm that Wacom is really such a massive improvement as i've been led to believe.

Hi! thanks for the add! Although I can't really give you any specific tips on getting better, I can tell you that to get better, you must always observe. Observe the cars on the streets, in the magazines, everywhere. But it's not enough to just observe, you must understand as well. You must understand why a car looks a certain way in a certain viewpoint, or why reflections dance on the different surfaces the way they do. Everything happens the way it does for a reason, and you must find some patterns in all those different reasons.

hi, i read yur note nd id just like to say that i improved by constantly observing and trying to understand everything in cars and car design from proportions, design trends, rendering techniques, shadows and lighting etc. hard work pushed me up and improved my sketches. it takes time, dont worry. just keep at it and DONT give up. its been 4 years since i started drawing cars. btw thanks fr the comment
