I agree, the photo backgrounds really add to the drawing. I think your colouring is quite good so far, and if you keep at it I think you'll be awesome at it. For drawing, I think the best tips I can give are to explore depth more and work on anatomy. More shading and examining of body placement/proportion would help you out a lot.
