Yeah, too bad Greenlandair and/or First Air couldn't establish an air route again between Nukk & Iqaluit. It would open up travel between Qikiqtaaluk and Greenland that I think many would like to have.

My father (who just passed away recently at 86) was a World War II vet and I have a deep appreciation for the men & women who sacrificed so much for us during those horrible times in the face of tyranny and fascism. Keep up the great photography!

I'm from Normandy, so my family was really in WW2 too.
One uncle saved a RAF pilot, a grand-pa was POW in germany in concentration camp.
I know some Vet. I do that for them, to never forget what they did, we live in freedom because of them, so I do my best to keep their history alive.
Sorry for your father. May he rest in peace.
Have you got some WW2 pict from him or story about him and his unit ?
