Hello !
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure to know what is exactly craft trades... Do you mean commissions ?
I'm french, and I don't know all the english terms of the "crafting universe". Can you please explain me a little bit more ?
Thanks a lot in advance ! ^^

Your French? You speak awesome English,I know two French words at best.okay there are different types of trade but I'll explain them all so you don't get caught out in future.
art trade- a piece of digital or traditional art made by each person and sent online.
craft trade- each person makes a hand craft item and sends it to the person that they made it for.
llama trade- you give someone a llama an they give you a llama bagde.
partial trades- when you make a real item and the other person makes art digitally.in this you are normally expected to mail the item you made when the other person sends theirs online.
ii do craft trades as in my mind the are most fair to both persons.also after a trade I normally make a journal telling people to go look at the person I traded with, which gets people more views and possibly commissions~
hope I helped you~

Thanks a lot for your explainations, it's very helpful !
I agree with you, craft trades seem fair, and also very interesting to know other people. I like this kind of initiatives, even thought I never did craft trades with other people than my french friends. But I can do craft trades with you if you want, it would be very fun.
There's just the fact that it could be expensive to send the crafts, with the cost of international shipments. With little crafts it could be cheaper, maybe. It's up to you.
Β In any case, thanks for your nice commentaries and idea. Β

Ah it's okay, for shipping the very most they can charge (excluding dangerous Β stuff) is Β£20 and even then the most I've been charged is Β£9.when you start shipping out of Europe it gets expensive,so on that front I think I'd be okay~
The chances are one of the items I'd like would be to hard to remake,it's the tube hat.id like one as you can't buy any steam punk/ really cool things in England without paying Β£60+.or if that's to big one of you necklace/chokers would be awesome.i make pixel sprites with hama beads which I can easily custom and add glow in the dark beads to for some interesting stuff~

Tam-Kha In reply to Jena-Rose [2014-07-04 16:01:43 +0000 UTC]
I'm affraid that the hat would be too big and heavy to send it easily and cheaply... Or maybe a tiny version of it ? It could be funny to do.
If you are interested in a necklace or choker, it's easier for me, and also the materials that I use are light, so it's easier to send it in England. Do you want a specific model or item ? You can draw a model or describe it, and I'll tell you if it's possible, and what kind of material I can use. I love to make unique pieces, and custom pieces.
I've seen your work with hama beads, and the models like Totoro, Onigiri and Charmander are adorable ! Good job ! What is the size of this kind of models ? Do you think I can use it as a pendant for necklace or earrings ? With your permission, of course.

Well it depends each hama bead is 1cm in diameter although there are a big pile of mini hama beads in my works space.but making anything bigger than 20x20 mini beads would be difficult.however the normal onigiri is a good penant/earring size and I can make it glow in the dark,if you chose normal size beads.
as for the items Β your making, how about a choker? Or anything with a heart with wings on it.different question but do you think that you could make a steam punk bow tie?

Tam-Kha In reply to Jena-Rose [2014-07-05 10:26:41 +0000 UTC]
Ok for the necklace or choker, I think that I have some beads with wing and heart shape, I can try some designs and show you with drawings or photos if you want.
For the steam punk bow tie, it's a great idea ! I'll check if I have items like gears, and I can show you too.
For the hama beads, I love tiny models, so I prefer creations with mini beads. I really love the totoro and the onigiri. Do you think it's possible to do a totoro to make a pendant, and a pair of susuwatari (balls of soot) to make earrings ? A pair of onigiri would be great too.

Yep I can do that!~ for the tie could you make it so a girl could wear it?

Tam-Kha In reply to Jena-Rose [2014-07-05 10:39:19 +0000 UTC]
For the bow tie, I think that it would be not difficult to make it as a jewel, like a knot, with a pendant... If you have an idea or a design that you like, don't hesitate to show it to me.
