I don't know about awesome. I like to think I get by as I feel faces & hands are things I need to work on (still). But thanks none the less for the kind words.
Like I said before: once my hands recover from my two hand surgeries I'll work on some new pictures as I'm feeling the urge to draw comic themed stuff again after a very long time not doing it.

Hands are one of the most difficult things to draw. That's why the "shorthand" for illustration is to draw fists. Fists are relatively easy. Faces can be a pain too, which is why so many comic illustrator's learn how to draw two faces (one male, one female) and make minor adjustments from character to character. Unique human faces are really difficult. It's easy to make a different face for a character like Hulk or Nightcrawler or the like, but to have Steve Rogers and Hawkeye speaking without masks on and to have each face uniquely recognizable...that's difficult.

Trust me, I know all about the "shorthand for hands" trick - look at all the pictures I posted: they're all fists. Granted I'd gotten better at them so that open hands weren't to bad, I just had to be careful about keep them looking uniform and rounded on the ends while not getting too crazy with bending.
That can lead to bad things....but I'm hopeful that things like that will come back to me as I start drawing in that style again.
