It's very simple: TheLeprachaun works in CQCS: Close Quarter Customer Services. This weekend the full moon and the 13th are falling on the same day, so the likelihood of him surviving the experience is rapidly approaching zero.
This calculation is based on his rapidly graying hair, Death's fancy of his family recently, and his subconscious desire to escape from having to travel to Germania in January for an actual face to face meeting with his muse.
