What do you adjust to get that sort of lighting on your skateboarding photos? It's intriguing.

It's a combination of filter/adjustments on CS3.

A lot of the photos are adjusted with Hue/Saturation and Selective Color, both set to "soft light" with vastly different opacity and fill values...

And other times I will take an image, select the original and copy it to the clipboard. Then convert the image into a duo-tone and flatten it afterwards. Then covert it back to RGB, and paste the original back on top of the stack. The next part is to layer mask the subject so that the background is coloured differently however preserving the original colour of the subject...

Well w.e, sometimes excessive is good...

The one picture of B-Rad, with the gnar clouds...

Just a neutral density filter and some tone curve adjustments with the soft light blending option.

Pretty explanatory...
