That's not such a bad idea actually! I'm going to post them there, right now I've been working on 3 more sketches and as soon as they're finished, I'll post them here and all of them to that MLPDrawingschool.

It seems that DA also has a group entitled MLPDRawingschool ( [link] ). With that said, i joined them as well and now that I thought about it, I'll start submitting on the Reddit channel as well. I know Reddit is notorious and all, but I know better than to judge a website based on rumors. and separate groups are obviously more well kept, exactly the same way they all are in here.

What rumors exactly have you heard about reddit? Whatever they are, I can assure you they don't apply to /r/MLPDrawingschool—reddit is just the medium that they communicate through. The site is divided into "subreddits," which carry submission links of specific topics. They aren't intrinsically linked, and smaller ones like /r/MLPDrawingschool may just as well have nothing to do with the rest of the site at all. If the rumors you've heard are about /r/atheism and /r/funny, neither of those are anything at all like the drawingschool (I don't like those places either). If it's about /r/spacedicks, that's just /r/spacedicks—i.e. not exemplary of the entire place. The site for most people is the same, but if you want it to be it can be completely different. It all depends on what subreddits you choose. Some are bad, some are good, and there's always ways to avoid the things you don't like. Rumors may definitely be true for certain parts, but those parts are completely separate from numbers of others.

The rumors are probably from some trolls anyway, I don't even remember who I heard this from.

I mean the rumors do not apply for groups. DA's groups act pretty much the exact same way, afaik, since each individual group has rules, restrictions and mods that can control what is being posted and what people say in the comments.
The rumors that are going on really shouldn't be taken very seriously.. I don't remember exactly what they were, but from what I understood it had something to do with hackers, people who have serious problems with being sociable and many, many trolls that spew the same memes again and again. Basically, I've heard about such rumors only when I used to play world of warcraft.. Like I said, they're of little importance to me.

Well... yeah, a lot of that's true. They do repeat memes endlessly 'till they die, and even a little bit after that. In the life of a meme, reddit is the second stage, and encompasses the last vestiges of humor left in it. Conception begins at 4chan; once it begins to get stale, reddit picks it up, laughs about it, then bangs the crap out of it until it's long dead—it does this at about the same time Tumblr does. Then 9GAG, FunnyJunk, Memebase etc. all pounce out of the woodwork onto the corpse and feast.
Most people there are probably pretty pasty and asocial: the classic image is that of a neckbearded, tubby white guy who can't express his opinions in real life, so he rants to similar people on reddit. Of course, not everyone is like this, since it's got millions of users—the ones that post and comment generally are, though.
If you go to the right places, though (these are usually the small, specialty communities like /r/MLPDrawingschool), then it's a wonderful place. But you have to find those places first.

Exactly. There's more to people than the rumors going on about reddit, which is similar to how other people think of bronies as fat, socially awkward and bad looking, we know that may be true for some few people, but for the most part the community is composed of awesome people. In fact part of the main reason I'm doing all of this drawing isn't really because of the show, but more because its fandom is this active and inspiring.
Who knows, maybe this group, even though it is a small one, may inspire me to ascend the heights of traditional / digital art
Well, this was a fun chat we had, I should be getting back to drawing right now and finish that sketch so I can finish the others and post them as well!

It certainly got me to try new things with drawing—I don't have any drawing software, so I can't go there yet—but I've done a whole bunch of things with pencils that I hadn't done before.
