# About me
They say "Practice makes perfect", but also that "Nobody's perfect". So if you can't be perfect, why practice? I would say that perfection is relative and the point of it all is just to better yourself. That, or you're taking the sayings way too literally.I'm not much on keeping up with the web, but I've decided I should give this Deviant art stuff a try. My purpose for joining DArt is both to share my TwistieCraft and to improve on it as well. I appreciate my privacy, but I also realize that I have a talent that I should share with others. The anonymity on the internet, however, allows me to share my art and not my identify. Instead, people can know me as TwistieCrafter.
Initially when I searched the web years ago I couldn't find any Twist Tie art out there. Having thought I was alone, I sought to evolve my craft, expand my capabilities, and then share it one day through the web so that people could see how much potential there was in it. Now that I know there are other twistie artists out there, I can already see myself adding some new techniques to my repertoire. You know what they say, "There's always room for improvement."
I hope you enjoy all the chapters I post from 1 (Initium) to 10 (Aeternus).
Current Residence: U.S. California

Work takes up alot of my time, so I've been bad about hopping on here. I'll try to get back into it slowly, though I'm still alive and around.

I really do not remember. I did have to reformat my PC a while back and lost my book marks. Perhaps as I was looking through my watches I accidentally removed you. But you are back on, so feel free to keep the Twistie Art coming.

Thanks for all the 's!!! Holy stink, Your stuff makes mine look rather pathetic! It's just a hobby for me, though! I got my twist-ties from trash bags - they come in the boxes to tie the top of the bag with. But we don't use those bags anymore, so my supply is running thin. Do you know where I can get them for real cheap? I don't have much money.

Hey it is a rare hobby that not many people have patience for. I hope you stick with it more and continue to grow your own style. If you check other twistie artist's galleries you can see the evolution in their work. I just made it simple to see the evolution of my work in my gallery.
When I was a kid I would just take a handful from the grocery store, but you can always get a box of 2K white ones at like Smart and Final or online. I list a couple of my sources here [link] , but the first source is gone sadly.

If your gallery is any indication of your comfort zone, then I challenge you to go outside it with something different. How about an air craft or space ship?

How often do you get on I was running out of ideas in what to make and when I do get an idea I pull out one string of tie and space out and I automatically forget what I was going to make

Sorry If I bother you, where do you get/find your twisty ties?
π: 0 β©: 1
TwistieCrafter In reply to Beavisjr [2013-02-13 07:10:11 +0000 UTC]
It is not bother at all. I purchased them online in box quantities of 2K. I still have some left over from my first purchase [link]
Without researching the matter I would currently go with ULINE if I needed a fast resupply, but when I do need them again I would look online and just hunt down various options before I make my final decision. E-mailing some places and asking them for samples was helpful in narrowing down my decision.
