So, you're frequenting dA more than facebook now?

How's everything going? I hope your end of the semester is not overly hectic.

Thanks for the !! I appreciate it. Keep up the great work on your panoramics! Have you thought about doing HDRs, I think your photos would really shine through with HDR.

Wow, Ooby told me that someone from wingspan found her account and had one too. But I was suprised to have been watched by you....I kind of seem to hide in Robin's shadow in the school when it comes to art.

Robin and I were in wingspan last year, but we felt no need or desire to join this year. I liked how neat, organized, and well thought-out everything was in wingspan. However, my art didn't seem to catch the eye of anyone(also one of the reasons I didn't want to stay) I'm afraid that I don't sculpt, or paint on giant canvas', so I felt so insignificant.

I really adore your photography, it's so nice to look at...I take photos too, but they really aren't much. You may not have a lot of photos up yet, but I'm sure hoping I'll see more.

Who says you hide in Robin's shadow? I like to evaluate every person individually, not always compared to each other. Besides, even if I were to compare you to Robin all the time, you would compete favorably. You two complement each other's art perfectly ^^

As for Wingspan, remember that members are artists, and... well... ... artists are... different. Even from each other; substantially; and the collective opinion is an interesting aggregate of differing sides. A lot of nice pieces never make it onto the CD — definitely not for space considerations, but because one or two people feel intense about one piece, while don't campaign for the merits of another. Thankfully, there is deviantArt, so you can showcase your wonderful works for the interested parties, and get the Wingspaners to regret their snobbish selectiveness ^^

I am glad my photos are appealing to you. I still have some unassembled "panoramaterial" at my disposal, but when that cache runs out, I'll venture out of the lonely confines of my darkroom and acquire some more. And, of course, I will upload non-panoramic images too once in a while. Although now that I've firmly gotten used to widescreen images, regular narrow-view pics seem so limited >.<

I've noticed, that when I draw, I study. I keep memo of muscle structure, appendage length, and other such things. I severly critique my own artwork, always trying to find something to improve on.

I also know why my art never made it into the magazine last year, and that was because me and Robin didn't have a scanner available. We always had the original pictures on hand, but they never got a chance to be seen.

I do adore deviantART just for the fact, that so many people get a chance to veiw new works. And if certain pictures aren't prefered over others, then people simply don't have to comment on them at all.

Unfortunately for me, my muse is being very selective, and is only letting me draw cats, horses and women(not that I don't always draw them anyway )

Thanks; I am glad you like my photos.

I am indeed part of Wingspan, and I'm a lousy meeting-attender as well — I always have something else to do. However, the circumstances of my membership are strange. I am not an artist. I am very much a pragmatist, and I only reveal my recessive artistic side during photography. However, I love HTML and CSS, so in 2003-04 I helped out with the first Wingspan CD. In 2004-05, I took a more active role (in the CD again) without becoming an official member. This year, when I finally became a member, I realized being an independent contractor was much more fun ^^

As for finding you, I came across Jes' dA, and over time, I explored not only her deviations, but her friends' as well. So I was casually looking around in a new and mysterious realm, when I noticed that picture. My first reaction, quite naturally, was "I've seen that before...", and it actually took me a while to realize where. So that's a short story long

Again, I maintain that all your works are impressive, but that won't stop me from commenting on them individually.

And I know you don't really know me, but I do know you. Not so much as iRL, but by your works, you show who you are. My panoramas, on the other hand... heh. Oh well.
