Right now, I'm trying to find that story, ya know the one you can really sink your teeth into and even yourself are interested to see how your own story unfolds. Especially since NaNoWriMo is coming up. Other than that, trying to do good in my classes.

Trying to get through my senior year at high school.
I actually stopped playing Brawl competitive awhile ago, although I might start when the eventual sequel comes out.
Now I am trying to become a great writer, and started playing a lot of Super Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. I will get Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and hopefully play that at a high level.

If you're ever going to sit down and write a novel, this is the time you're going to do it. You don't want to slack off then eventually quit because you 'can't' catch up.

I actually read an article by the snowflake guy today about this. It's was really interesting. Essentially he says it takes a crap ton of time to write a novel. They're like 70k - 100k words.

If you wander around writing like 3k a month, you'll take a couple years to get your novel completed. That's a long time. Are you even going to like your novel by then? (I wouldn't.)

If writing is just fun for you, then sure, go ahead and quit. You're past the fun part. Now you're into that thing called hard work (ick, I know). If you're serious about writing, it's challenges like these that will develop your overall skills.

Nano isn't so much about quality because it's more about putting your money where your mouth is and doing. Quality comes with learning and practice. Writing 50k is tough, but the more you do it, the easier the task becomes.

There will be quality challenges, patience challenges, tons of other types of challenges and even tons of rejection in writing. Serious writers will suck it up and get it done.

It's settled: you signed up for the tough work and you're not a wimpy quitter. Type of your work and get a word count. Use the spreadsheet to see your daily requirements. It's probably not that bad. Even if you're at 2k words a day, that's only 400 more than you started. Work into a routine and schedule time.
