In any case, I'm spreading the word to all Naruto fans that there is an alternative, a sorely-ignored universe that anyone can expand with whatever they felt lacking canonically. In my case, I expand it with more mythological linkings, as I attempt in my pilot take on Hagoromo's story and my Headed Beasts ^^
And of course, my take on pilot!Naruto himself...

Yes, mostly. I also use ink and pencils sometimes.

With the watercolor? Do you add anything in your paints to make it thicker? I mostly use inks now due to the fact that I couldn't get my watercolors beefy (then again I might have been using them wrong. I am an oil painter my choice and an ink painter by necessity).

I understand you. The oil and the watercolour are very different in a way, and it is not easy to skip from one to another. I have tried painting with oil many times - just to realize that it's not my piece of cake.
In watercolour the paper reflects the light, and if I want to make something lighter, I need to leave in uncovered. While in oil I need to create light by adding while paint. It is not easy to re-programm the brains quickly - for me

Painting with colored inks, I get that and since they are always translucent, I cannot avoid but show some of the "white paper" in my painting. Something I have learned to dance with. Watercolors, I don't know, are just hard. I haven't used them in a while. I haven't used oil in a while due to lack of space (that will change soon! SO excited!) I just have so much admiration for your work. And the fact you can use masking fluid. I keep destroying my paintings when I use that stuff! Fighting for the precious white space has never been so hard!!
Keep up the awesome work. You have a great skill that is hard to come by.
