Favorite writers: Mercedes Lackey (writer) & Emily Dickinson (poet), & ETC.

Tools of the Trade: Many! But most often: paper (esp. Bristol), pencils, pens/ink, & color pencils, but others as well...

# About me
About Angela K. Scott: UPDATED April '15 - Even when married (twice) she hyphenated her name, but only her maiden-name is applied to her art. Due to being a military dependent with her first husband they were moved to a few different military bases/posts even overseas in Germany. But their last move was to North Carolina where they divorced & she remarried another Army soldier, but her second husband abandoned her, so she has been stuck in this detrimental area in N.C. destitute, homeless, ailing, alone -save for her three -now two- feline furkids who are the only ones who keep her struggling, suffering along through this now five year ongoing & ever worsening crisis/ordeal! :(Her lifestyle has long been nomadic, adventurous, turbulent, & complicated to say the least! But while she has moved around a lot she feels the North West is truly "home". In addition to being a homemaker, cat mom, & freelance artist, she enjoys: music, singing, reading, writing, aiding animals, medieaval times, Fandom, & just being truly herSelf -nothing more & nothing less (& yet being shown & feeling I'm far less...). Her affinity for fantasy/fiction began very young, through fairy-tales & renderings of mythological creatures, & dreams & creativity are a huge part of her life & provide refuge from the harshness of reality. Her creative endeavors are an outlet for boundless imagination & expression, while being very therapeutic (helping to relieve her Depression & other mental health issues). She is more sensitive, introverted, honest, & empathetic of others, including animals...She's owned by her feline girls & wishes she could have a house with some land where she can care for many more critters, real & imaginary! Ever since she can recall she's been drawing; while her formal art-studies & honors may be limited, her need to create (& learn) nurtures the exploration.
Years ago she began: ANGELA K. SCOTT CREATIONS, marketing her fantasy-related stationery, bookmarks & cards to fellow 'fandomists'. She's sold her art -paintings, illustrations, designs, signs, tattoo art, window painting, etc.. & she has volunteered her many creative talents as well. As a freelance artist it's been difficult to enter into the pro markets... Although she's not motivated by rare monetary gains & sadly knows after all these years she will never have an actual art career, the experience, expression, & enjoyment of her (& others!) artistry keeps her involved. We all have our own unique talents, employed foremost for our own selves & the fulfillment & unfettered love of creativity! We share part of ourselves with others; promoting reflection/feelings and more.
And it is fantasy, medieval themes, myths, romanticism, etc! which influence her works. Primarily, she focuses on Realism, employing various mediums, such as: pen/ink, acrylic, watercolor, & especially color-pencils. She finds inspiration in nature, imagination, music, mysticism, movies, books, & countless artists of the past & present.
Due to my overwhelming unending ordeal/circumstances & my exasperated ailments, poor health I've done very little art or crafts of any kind, except what I've been trying to sell on Ebay, which unfortunately does not sell well... Do miss it & it does help me emotionally, but also I cannot force creativity. . . :( Yet there's always my endless imagination & many artistic ideas swirling through my mind, heart, spirit! Dreams & Creations Forever!!

Deleting some of my art pieces in order to replace them with edited/improved versions, AND I'm uploading some new artworks -some of which are ones I'm just now posting & others are actually old pieces but I recently took them out to work on them, colorize,etc., including a little editing via computer program...
