At this time, yes. I'm ready to go home to Kansas, Toto, litterally. There's no place like home!

I'm not so attached to home, or families really. I mean I hang out with mine and I think they're 'okay'...we associate...but I'm closer with my friends (aside from my cousin who's like a sibling).

In Kansas only my oldest sister lives, and she and I have become pretty close these past couple of years (she drove up the hour and a half to talk with me face-to-face after I called her in tears)
My brother lives in Missouri and he and I get along really well (I'm surprised I never knew how awesome he was)
My middle sister lives up here in Michigan and she's been a good counciler and window to the outside world (like she was when she still lived at home)
I've been drifting away from my parents lately, and I'm not close to any of my extended family (save for one of my uncles whom I need to call more) and my siblings have been good teachers to me.
...Sorry about that, don't mean to give you a flow-chart about my fam.
Home's a relitive term now; home is where my good friends are.

That's really sweet. I have a half brother and half sister, neither of which I really speak to. My half brother is actually living in the house with me and he's a bit of a leach. Yes he's a hard worker but he expects everyone to wait on him hand and foot and what else, my Dad expects all of us to as well because 'he's getting a divorce' and is thus deserving of constant pity and babying. On his days off he doesn't even help my Dad with the serious labors he does around the house (mind you my father is 65 years old). I'd be out there helping him more myself if my leg muscles would finally stabilize. That really sounds sweet that your sister did that, my sister and I don't speak, at all, ever, she's a nut-shit selfish person. That's why my cousin is my adopted sibling, she's like my baby sister and probably the only person in my family that I love without reservation. We're super close. Really? is that who lives in Sag-nasty? I used to go to school there and spent half my life there... I actually am pretty good with the town which makes me able to mock it.
I think everyone drifts from their parents, because it's a part of growing up. The leaving the nest animal instinct.
I don't mind you talking about it, I like to think that we're friends so friends should be able to talk about whatever they like whenever they like. Right? Right.
Home is where the heart is for me, and my heart is somewhere not in Michigan that's for damn sure XD.

Damn. What is it about family that just makes us want to pull out our hair? Can't live with them and can't shoot them. >:/
He should be getting his butt out there and getting back on his feet because that's what you do when you get a divorce or go through a tough moment in life. You cry and mope for a bit, but not too long, then you dust yourself off and take your life back!
Naw, she lives two hours away from Saginaw.
According to my Michigan sister she says that my parents were pretty free with me in the beggining, but then all of the sudden they started keeping me on a short teather, and my siblings thought that was strange. I didn't even know they had done it. I don't blame them, but I wish they hadn't because now I'm afraid of a lot of things.
Right!
Mine's in Kansas with my roommates and thier cats. I really miss them.

I don't know! I really dislike my brother. I've been making phone calls all day to try and get my finances in order and he comes out of his bedroom and does that childish REALLY HEAVY sigh because I was on the phone and he wanted to use it (I'd been calling the office all day and getting the 'please call back' message and was actually finally put on hold for the first time since 8 AM), then when I'm off he asks me the address of the doctor's office. WTF do I know? He's got a computer, and an internet ready cell phone, not to mention the Doc's number... FIND OUT YOUR DAMN SELF. Geesh, for 41 he acts like he's some helpless little child. No joke about him getting his life back, I don't think he knows how to have a life. He blames it on his ex wife but they've only been married for ten years, he was in his thirties by the time that rolled around. Which means he knew how to once. He's just a wuss.
Two hours in any direction near Saginaw and I've probably been there. I'm so not a Michigan fan, but I live here so I put up with it. Lol. Hm, maybe because you're different? Not in a bad way mind you, I like your difference, you just don't seem the 'white picket fence, two kids with a bun in the oven, house wife with a yuppie office bound husband'. Maybe it alarmed them? But from what I've seen when parents shelter their kids it ends up like that, they think they're saving them when all they're doing is setting them up for shell-shock. The only way to save your kids is to prepare them for what life's really like in the end. It's also to accept them for who they are. Remarkably being accepting keeps them from going through that 'rebel' phase. Or at least I did.
Aww, roommates and cats. Mine's mostly in New England, with parts divvied out to my cousin here, and a certain someone in Ohio ^_^.
