Hi Everypony! Name's Vectored Thrust. I'm a Pegasus Pony born and bred in Cloudsdale, but I spend a lot of my time in Ponyville, too.I'm a Aerospace Engineering student from CIMA (Cloudsdale Institute of Mechanical Aeronautics) and in my spare time, an artist as well. Hey zedef can I ask you something? See I'm trying to become a brony but I'm kind of nervous about being ridiculed. So I was wondering if you had some advice to deal with those kinds if people?

The way I see it, Why should it bother you?Β
Maybe don't rub the fact you're a brony in their face, but if they have a problem with you being a brony, just shrug it off.
I'm an out, loud and proud Brony to everyone I know, and everyone's fine with it. They just consider it another weird quirk of mine.
Don't let others tell you what you can or cannot enjoy. They have no right to do that. If you want to be a Brony, I say you should do it. If they have a problem with it, say to them "so what?" If they're real friends or family, they shouldn't judge you for it
Be proud to be a Brony, man. We're a crazy, fanatical bunch at times, but deep down we're (usually, there are few unsavouries even within Bronydom but they're in the minority and you'll be learn to spot and avoid them quickly enough) a friendly, silly, bunch who love a show about cartoon horses.Β
We welcome new members, we welcome new people to this wonderful fandom of ours that brings us so much joy. Sure, you might get stares or weird looks, but just remember: We're at the same time fighting gender roles and stereotypes, and going against societal norms ALWAYS gets you weird looks.
