Some things from the new canon (Specifically the Star wars Jedi: Fallen Order)
- The Purge Troopers. Since you can One-Hit Kill Stormtroopers, the Empire compensates that weakness for these guys. They wear bulky armor and can overpower Jedi with an electrostaff. Are they even normal humans?
- According to the lore, the Purge Troopers are the last batch of the Jango Fett-template clone troopers that are exclusively used by the Inquisition as largely disposable cannon fodder, bred for discipline and unquestioning, unthinking loyalty to the Empire. The fact that the Inquisition uses the same type of clone trooper that originally carried out Order 66 to now exclusively hunt down Jedi is nightmarish all on its own, even without their elite status and fanaticism towards the Empire.
Dathomir is back and rather than being portrayed as an mostly dank, swampy place like in The Clones Wars, it's shown as desolate and barren red wasteland that resembles Hell like straight out of Doom, populated mostly by savage monsters like the Bane Back Spiders or the massive Chirodactyls. The few sentients around are either hostile Nightbrothers or a crazy Dark Jedi that went mad due to his prolonged stay on the planet, since Dathomir is shrouded in the Dark Side. Even the weeds used for climbing look like they were made of blood or living organs.
and if your wondering what the hell a chirodactyl... here you go

Su'cuy! Good to see other vode out there. Sorry to see life is tearing you a new one. I can only offer the advice you already know, keep going and a new dawn will rise. Beskar cuy nau'ur kad o'r tracyn. "Iron is forged in flame" On another topic, I was wondering what drove you to be interested in the mando culture? I'm kind of going around looking in to it.

Thanks, vod. I appreciate the support.
It's honestly been so long, it's hard to remember what originally got me interested in Mando culture. I was always a fan of Boba Fett from the films and had a vague knowledge that there were more folks like him out there, but I didn't really care much. Quite a bit later, I was trying out Republic CommandoΒ with a friend for the first time and he offhand mentioned that the main musical theme was a Mandalorian war chant, which kind of piqued my interest. Fast forward a few months after that and I tried out Karen Traviss' tie-in novels. And just like that, I was hooked.
I've always been drawn to ancient "noble warrior" cultures like the Spartans, Picts, Samurai, and Mongols, so falling in love with their sci-fi counterparts wasn't much of a jump once I got familiar with the basic lore. From then on, I was a hopeless addict.

Lol! I get ya vod. You say you like the culture, you ever practice it irl?Β

A little here and there. Mostly the more philosophical aspects like devotion to personal strength, honor, and loyalty to family both related and adopted. Fictional culture or not, I think those are pretty healthy practices to adopt.
I don't speak the language more than what's necessary for my writing, and I don't have my own suit of armor, though I do intend to fix that one day!

I think I've got a good grasp of the language for what I need it for. But send the link over anyway. I might pop by someday.

I'm sorry to hear that man, I do hope things get better but at the least though, you're surviving, just like you always have.
Things may be dark now but it won't last forever, somepoint and time, there's gonna be light. If you need to talk or just someone to listen, here if you need it.

I actually did see that and I'm very excited. With that and The Dark Tower coming out before long, it's going to be a very good year for Stephen King fans.

Hey Vhetin, sorry if this is a bad time and all.
But been considering doing another Clan bio, ones for Clan Lok and Ordo.
But given some matters, was wondering if it was alright given I don't know if you got plans for them?

Vhetin1138 In reply to Canderou [2016-08-09 01:56:00 +0000 UTC]
I have no plans to use them, no. For now, I think the Kelborns are the only major clan I'll be working with.

Pretty cool. I'm assuming that's in the newΒ episode ofΒ Knights of the Fallen Empire?
I really need to catch up on those.

Canderou In reply to Vhetin1138 [2016-05-09 03:41:44 +0000 UTC]
Yep.
Though judging from I seen. Shae's rule as Mandalore is very much like Boba's.
Both got lot live up to their previous Mandalores. But Shae's combat experience with ruthless tactics has been able earn Mandalorians victory over Zakuul Empire.
