It's...different. I'm not used to city life, so that's been a big change. I live in an apartment a little east of the center of Milan, which is all streets and buildings and traffic. One thing I really like is the metro system and public transportation here as a whole, which I don't have back home (I have my own car back home - it'll be weird to drive myself places again). If I have learned anything from living here it's that I'm not meant to live in the city, though it's fun to visit. 
The Milanese tend to dress business casual pretty much everywhere they go, which is also something I'm not used to. So in my commute to school (30 mins one way) I have to dress nicely, even though back home I'm used to putting on what's comfortable and getting to class in five minutes.

See, I don't live in a city but I live 45 mins or so away from one and I live near a big town so that wouldn't bother me. I'm also used to public transport as well so that's grand (I don't like driving, I've got a license and all but don't have a car because I don't like driving). But that's fair enough, I guess you live in the country-side then? 
Really? See, I'll always choose comfort over fashion so that would annoy me. But then again, Milan is a fashion capital so I suppose it's normal for them Is it expensive to rent?

I guess you could say I live in a more suburban setting, so we're close to town but far from any big cities. 
I'd choose comfort over fashion every day, but here they're kind of snooty about fashion (yeah, fashion capital) so it is normal for them to walk outside in more formal dress than I'm used to, and so if I wear something weird to them, I get all these scathing looks on the subway and as much as I just don't give a shit what people think of my flat-soled beige work boots, it does get tiring.
I'm here through an exchange program so I don't handle paying rent directly, my school has figured all that out for me, but based on what my roommate says, it's not horrible.

Haha yeah, some days I catch people eyeing me up and down in the reflection of the metro doors and I just set my jaw and glare at them in the reflection until their eyes meet mine. Then they usually stop because it's obvious I don't give even a little shit about how they're judging me. Thankfully, yes, the area tends to make up for the snootiness of the people who live in it haha.

Oh yeah, I'm sure if I wasn't here on the exchange program, it would be expensive to live here without a decent paying job.

A month later...haha whooooops. I've been so busy I've hardly had time on the computer, but now that finals are over (phew) I can breathe a little bit. I'm doing all right, working a bit over break to earn some money, but what I really wish I could be doing is burrowing under my covers and sleeping for a month. But, you know, I still require food and sun and air and such, unfortunately, so that's not a plausible course of action.

I haven't done the exam yet ¬.¬ It's on the 16th....bleugh! Hate, hate, hate!!!! Exams. And this one is gonna be a bitch because it's nutrition. I don't get stressed over exams...I'm not easilyu stressed unless it comes to writing and have nothing to write.

Yes! It's a pain in the arse! Except, they don't so much go quiet as I have no idea on how to write what's going on in my brain; that's one of my two my main problems in writing. Trying to write but making it readable and easy to understand without it sounding incredibly childish or stupid. The other is plot. I can never get the plot right or I know where I want to go but don't know how to get there...I hope that makes sense...
