I was hoping to buy a tablet soon and I was wandering if you had a recommendations on a specific type and what kind of drawing programs you might use.

Well, I recommend youΒ to tryΒ as a first tablet Wacom Bamboo - any of them are really good and actually I'm having Wacom bamboo(forgot exact which model) now and I'm satisfied a lot with it
For programs, I draw in Ps6, but Sai is good as well. Some people use Open canvas, but I didn't try it myself.
