Recently he was hacked, I believe so, yes. All old pieces were apparently deleted, and new, strange gifs took the places.
It seems like he's back, but can never be certain.

You do some awesome stuff. I especially love "the sky shall take me" - that's brilliant.
You've got monumental talent, that's why it's so baffling that you'd rip some footage from a TV show and pass it off as art. I'm not trying to climb onto a bandwagon or anything with this, but can't you see how all those folk might have a point?
Isn't it more of a "Myspace" type of thing to show a clip from a TV show you like, with accompanying text to the effect of "OMG, this iz sooo awesome! U guyz hav to see it!"? I mean... animated gifs of things you didn't create... on Deviant ART? Doesn't that sort of defeat the whole purpose?
Anyway, I can see you're in a shitty and intractable mind about it, and you'll probably just call me a name and tell me to shut up... but if you weren't actually an awesome artist I wouldn't even bother.

First of all, I only did it because there's a shitload of stuff like it. You can go look up avatars right now and find SO many things that are little clips of movies, shows, music videos, etc. When I check their page, nobody has even accused them of anything. There isn't "Art Thief" written all over their page. It's getting pretty fucking annoying how I am the only one being targeted just because it happens to have a lot of Favs. As long as stuff like that stays up, I'm not gonna remove it. I have no idea why the amount of Favs on an item makes people who otherwise wouldn't say anything want to come to my page and accuse me of shit I didn't even think was wrong in the first place. And I only call people names when they call me and Art thief, and that I don't know how to respect art, etc.

You're not actually the only person on DevArt being accused of putting shit up that isn't art. A great many are. You're exhibiting a persecution complex. This one's only garnered attention for two reasons:
1: Because, inexplicably, it was actually put up by a real artist, and
2: For something that you didn't really make, that was the work of someone else, it has inexplicably garnered a lot of page-views... More than a lot of real art, which you'd have to agree is really galling.
In addition, what some other folk were trying to get at is that it's taking DA one more step toward being just another Facebook or Photobucket... with just any old crap posted up to show your friends... and inhabited by fanboys and gals who just want to share stills from TV shows, for example. I've seen a few accounts that are entirely devoted to posting stills taken from Doctor Who episodes with little lovehearts drawn on them in MSPaint. This is not art. It's nonsense.
