Thanks. Which one? Most the art here was created with Photoshop and/or Illustrator. The repetitive/time-consuming portions managed by routines written in Visual Basic.

Is it plugin or you're the coder?

I use thousands of lines of code I wrote in VB to handle layer manipulation and hundreds of Photoshop/Illustrator actions to create the desired effects. VB doesn't manipulate the actual pixels... that is accomplished through interaction with the Adobe scripting interface. I do use a handful of plugin filters to create certain textures but the gradients and layer styles all come from Photoshop or Illustrator (as directed by my coding).

Who great, i'd like to learn that, but i feel like you speak another language... And VB should be hard to learn when you're a beginner... Still i don't understand how VB interact with photoshop or illustrator, is it like you program a plugin? (i try to put a .atn or .8bf in notepad, give nothing ahah!)
Anyway thanks for the answer and if you have any clue, website or first step, i will be happy to study that...
Laurent.

It isn't difficult to begin. You might start by downloading a scripting guide from Adobe [link] (available for VB, Java and Applescript). You can find beginners tutorials at [link] (and all around the internet). There is a help forum at [link] (a google search for "photoshop scripting" will also hit on thousands of additional resources).
Thanks for your interest and good luck. Like anything, the first step is the most painful.

Thanks. But if you see the comment on the gallery, these are the ones I truly hate. Just throwing them up here because I have no idea what people like to look at. Photoshop CS2 with a bit of Illustrator now and then.

I like the art of other artists. That isnβt to say that I detest my own artβ¦ Itβs just much less painful to form an attachment to somebody elseβs work. I canβt properly critique my own art because my personal agendas get in the way. I arbitrarily evaluate it based on (1) how long I worked on it (which doesnβt necessarily reflect the quality of the final product), (2) my emotional investment (which probably wonβt be understood by the viewer) and (3) my expectations of how it will affect another person (which involves a lot of misguided assumptions, since HE/SHE isnβt ME) . I couldnβt point to one of my pieces and say, βI think thatβs GREAT!β When I consider one of my pieces brilliant, it bombs. When I (1) spend a couple minutes throwing something together, (2) donβt really care one way or the other and (3) fully understand that have just created a work of pure garbageβ¦ SOMEBODY will really like it. They will see something nobody else can see.

I am often the same way, finding it hard to express my concepts into visualization.. even harder digitally than traditionally, because of how easy some others make it look. Whereas traditional I know how hard and long some artists put their effort into their work, and is often more rewarding. So I hope you don't feel too bad about your artwork.
