Sup dude! Lol I know we never really talked much face to face but I heard that you were doing manga on Deviant art. Over the past year I've been developing a story I want to turn into a comic/manga, so I'm starting to practice my art style lol and was curious to see what your stuff looked like XD it's really nice. My stuff isn't so great lol but I'm still practicing.

Any tips you could share? I mainly just need to develop a style of my own, and be able to consistently draw it the same way lol for all the multiple panels. I always thought observational drawing would help with my consistency with proportion but, I'm no professional :I lol

Yea Iv got tons of tips to share, especially if youre just jumping into it all.
First off, dont worry about developing your style, it comes naturally. Art of any kind is about emotion, and if you just let it flow, you'll see your style develop.
Learn anatomy! If youre going to be drawing the human body a lot on a comic, youre going to need to know how to draw it. Practice drawing different poses to get your anatomy down and this is a good way to also work on your personal style.
When you have a character you want to use for your comic, draw them A LOT, and in a bunch of different ways like different emotions or poses. This way you get a much better feel for how to draw the character, and its a lot easier to keep the consistency of looks between panels and pages.
Hope this helps

Oh, also, I wanted to ask what the font is that manga/comic book artists use? Whenever I start making it I want it to be professional XD I see the same text in almost every comic/manga but I have no idea which it is

That does help thank you. Yea like, if you see my deviant art page you'll notice i drew the same girl several times XD I figured drawing them a lot would help, just gotta start doing it more I guess. And yea, I've been googling animation poses to draw at some point. I just wish I knew how long it would take to get as good as I wanna be x__X

How long did it take you to get where you are now? like, from the moment you get passionate about it to right now XD

Iv been drawing ever since I can remember, I filled my class time and free time with it. I knew I wanted to make it a career around the end of middle school, but Iv always been practicing.
Im 100% completely self taught though, which I advise as NOT the way to go. I practiced for years and years, but if I had the ability to go to college or take some sort of classes, I would be exponentially better.
Im only throwing that part in because idk how you are but a lot of up and coming artists I know think they can just learn everything on their own through looking at other art, but you'll only slow yourself down that way.

Yea I gotcha, I know what you mean. I've made like, literally, 20+ comic books from my childhood till middle school, i mean, they were childish lol of course, but still. i drew a lot, but i just kinda gave up on it during high school. then suddenly in college i realized how much I wanted to tell a story, and how much I wanted to draw it in my vision and my style. im currently self taught, but the methods ive been told to use seem legit. methods such as observational drawing. apparently it REALLY gives you a grasp on proportion, which in turn gives you the ability to really shape your own look. (sorry if any of this was poorly typed. Im blazed)
