*clears her throat* well, my best advice would be to read as much as possible- many different authors- so that you get a taste of different writing styles and are better educated about your own tastes. And write, write alot- write your ASS off. Even if you think you suck at it, even if you never show it to anyone, because writing is a skill, and like any skill can only be improved upon by frequent use. And having an online thesaraus/dictionary never hurts. *thinks for a long moment* also- now this is VERY important- do it for YOU. When you write, don't force it just because some pesky readers might be constantly getting on your ass about updating or anything, write a story you know would interest you if you were a reader. And make sure you enjoy it, writing is not just a skill, it has to be a passion- if your heart's not truly in it then you won't be able to write your way out of a paper bag.
Hmm, i don't think you were expecting me to ramble on like that. Sorry. Anyway, glad you like my work, i hope you keep reading.
