Hello! I've been looking at some of your cards - they're seriously well done. You're clearly a seasoned Magic player! Hey thanks. Always appreciate a bit of positivity.

I had a look at your comics and I think they're pretty decent.

I like the Bad for your Elf one. Easy to understand, and has a good sense of comedic timing. I think your comics could benefit from a bit of trimming though. More brief=better impact. E.G. The last two frames of Izzet and Gump could be cut out entirely, and the last frame of Surplus could've been cut out too and the joke would've still been intact. Maybe leave the expressions of the characters on the beat frame of Surplus exactly the same as the last one just to emphasise that "..." pause, cause i always find that funny.

Aside from the timing issues of the Forest of Gump one, I really liked the core of that one.

I'm not sure about using shapes as characters. Personally would've gone for something a bit more magic themed, like the mana costs or something. Then you could've introduced colorless <> as that mana that nobody likes or something.

But yeah, just my two cents.

Wow, thank you for the compliments, and such a detailed response! You're bang-on about the strip size - there have been times where I've taken out entire panels to ease the flow a little, but clearly there's room for improvement on that score. As for the shapes as characters, it would have been a much better idea to use the mana symbols - why I didn't think of that myself, I don't know.

Thanks for the watch. I really like the style i've seen on the way you designed cards. Your cards are very balanced which is one of my highest priorities in designing. Anyway I hope I hear some thoughts from you on cards I've made and I look forward to seeing the things you create.

It's funny cause I don't feel like I have a good grasp of the power level myself. I mainly focus on interesting designs rather than balancing each card individually. (Design over Development.)
