It depends on when it happens in her life. As a cub she would be distraught and worried, as an adult she would be worried but not as outwardly emotional about it. Just a check to make sure he was alright without any doting

Banzai is a bit doting and does love his daughter, but would often abandon her if it meant working with Scar. So as she grew up she saw him as unreliable. Though when Scar was out of the picture (around her older cub/young adolescent stage) he became much more involved with her life and cares deeply for her, but by this point Askari had made up her mind about him.
