Of course! I watch you for a reason, namely the quality art of, among other thing, anthro space deer in tight-fit outfits

I'm on a bit of an elliptical orbit when it come to checking my messages--I let a few hundred pile up from various folk I watch and then decide to clear them all out at once, which has the unfortunate side effect of making people think I'm someone new to their gallery rather than a watcher.

I can understand, I try my best to reply to as many folks as I can. Sometimes there's so many folks or so much to do (non art stuff but very important ) that sometimes I have no choice but to clear them out and do a mass thank you to everybody. I hope it doesn't sound cheap or poor form, there's just so much of me to spread around. 
But I am thankful for all the folks who like my work. A real blessing.

Do you mean a ship like a big cruise ship, a small yacht, a big star ship, a space shuttle, a romantic pairing...? (Had to toss that last one in there )

And honestly, once you get fusion working to start with, miniaturizing it shouldn't be too hard. Though if you make a fusion reactor with less than a certain minimum power output, then it wouldn't provide enough power to run whatever magnets or other technology is needed to keep the fusion reaction contained and going. As you get to smaller scales and lower power outputs, more and more of your output has to be devoted to keeping the fusion reactor actually fusing, assuming of course that you don't have some magically perfect containment system that keeps the fusing hydrogen super-compressed and doing its proton-shuffling dance all while requiring no energy and suffering no losses.

I don't have enough of a degree in nuclear physics to tell you what that tipping point might be for size and-or overall energy output. I know that running a cell phone off built-in fusion power will probably never happen, and using it for anything much smaller than a semi truck doesn't seem overly probable--even if you could make a reactor small enough to run something smaller than an 18-wheeler, there are other potential power supplies that would be more practical at that scale, up to and including exotically interesting things like black hole batteries. (Which in theory you COULD use to power a smartphone or laptop--for tens of thousands of years) A lot of those power techs would also scale up fairly well, so assuming that you have decently advanced tech there would be a range where small-scale fusion power would be feasible but not generally used because other things can fit into that range and do so at lower cost or greater efficiency or what have you.

I say all this as 1, someone who really doesn't have the maths background to get a physics degree, though I do understand the concepts in physics at least decently well, and 2, as someone who is a firm believer in the astounding potential of nuclear energy both fusion and fission, as well as other environmentally friendly sources of power, and I believe that as a species we humans need to start pursuing all possible avenues away from fossil fuels and similar polluting means.

 Easy peasy! That won't even need miniaturization--the prototype fusion reactors they're building now are already smaller than the diesel engines of an ocean liner that size, and could provide more power. Plus, with fusion, you wouldn't need giant tanks of diesel fuel, pipelines for said fuel, or any of the other paraphernalia associated with using fossil fuels to power an oceangoing vessel.

Switching over to fusion power would save a lot of space on board, while increasing the range and power output, and cutting carbon emissions and other pollutants to zero--potentially, even further. Nuclear energy can provide so much available power that it becomes possible, and feasible, to take CO2 out of the air plus water and chemically synthesize it back into hydrocarbons and oxygen, the way plants do when they photosynthesize. In that case, you replace the sun with your nuclear reactor as the energy source, but the chemistry is all the same
