Not sure what you mean... but I'm answering the questions that I've gotten so far in no particular order.  

There are a lot of good ones--yours included--and I'm working on a handful of them simultaneously because there are so many.  Some questions are easier to answer than others, and some of them are going to have a bit more to them picture-wise than just Shadow or Rouge simply answering the question. 

All of the questions I've gotten are from nearly all of the Shadouge Q&A posts' comment sections and the original journal that was spitballing the idea.  I'm going to do my best to answer as many as I can in the best way that I can.

Thanks for the compliment!  I'm glad you like my work.
Eyebrows add so much more expression to a character's face.  Lol I knew it was a stretch when I started drawing Sonic characters with eyebrows, but I liked the way it looked and a lot of other people do too!  

I'm always up for seeing any kind of new Shadouge fanart!  So if you're drawing some, I'll be sure to check it out!

Well first I'd like you to know I'm not really a fan of the pairing I kinda thought rouge always had a thing for knuckles, now I'm not bashing the pairing it's just I'm having trouble understanding it It's not just because I like her and knuckles more,but I never pictured shadow as a romantic and always saw them as friends and partners. So tell me what is it about shadouge that appeals to you because I would like to understand.

Well, I suppose I've always been drawn to Shadow and Rouge together in some shape, form or fashion.  When I was younger, and just getting into the Sonic fandom, I was more of a Team Dark fangirl.  Out of all the teams (I guess we can call all the groups of characters "teams"), I found Team Dark to be the edgiest and serious, and just plain awesome!

But it's been a long while since I first got into anything Sonic related.  And I actually haven't done much shipping until fairly recently.  I'm the kind of person who likes all kinds of ships within the Sonic universe (whether platonic, romantic or otherwise) and I have no qualms with anyone who dislikes any ship that I may favor.  

But all of that to say-- I ship Shadow and Rouge the way I do, not because I don't like Knouge or anything like that (I actually adore that pairing as well), but because to me it... just makes sense.  In the comics, Shadow and Rouge are partners with an unusual bond-- albeit, it's not a romantic or buddy-buddy one--but it's still one of the strongest bonds between two characters I've ever seen within the entire franchise.  Their trust level runs deep and is incredibly solid.  

My romantic portrayal of Shadow and Rouge isn't really a kind of spontaneous, suddenly lovey-dovey kind of thing (or, at least that's not how I'm intending to write them within my comics).  In my eyes, their relationship in a romantic setting isn't a "head-over-heels" kind of love.  Shadow doesn't break character and suddenly become this love-sick fool, and Rouge doesn't become a giddy little girl with a crush.  I like to think that their bond just kind of gets... deeper.  It matures.  It becomes more intimate and emotionally open.  They were already confidantes within the canon universe,  and I find that shifting that kind of trust and closeness into the realm of a more sensual and intimate bond, doesn't subtract or degrade what they already had as partners.  To me, it kind of adds more to it.  Rouge has assured Shadow that it's alright to be vulnerable and emotional with her in my stories, and so he is.  He's still that serious, stubborn old hedgehog we all know, he's just more in touch with his emotions and who he is as a person, and not just as a physical being.  Rouge is an independent woman who has her own past and issues to deal with on the regular.  In my stories, she has matured as well (she's about 36 years old in the comic I'm currently writing).  She's no longer the huge flirt she used to be... Okay, she's still a flirt sometimes, but in my stories, she's gotten to a point in her life where she's comfortable with who she is and what she's accomplished thus far.  She's not trying to impress anyone, not even Shadow.  And she isn't getting love from Shadow because it's convenient, but because she genuinely wants to show the hedgehog affection and is in a position to give it.  And she gets it back without having to ask.  They care and take care of each other.  

They're both autonomous in their own right and are complete, solid characters on their own.  So, these two autonomous partners are even closer than they were before and continue to grow even closer.  They're not looking to be completed by the other, but to support them and care about them, both in the field and in their private lives.  

That's how I see Shadouge, and that's why it appeals to me.  Thanks for the question.  I hadn't actually sat down and thought out why I love Shadouge the way I do until now

I've been having a lot of trouble lately and felt like talking to a fellow fan. I do love the couple and understand that not everyone has to like it and I am aware the ship isn't perfect, but do you ever feel like when it comes to the haters of the pairing or even Amy herself that maybe they are a too harsh on it?

I've never really wasted any time within those shipping wars.  I love Sonamy.  I think it's cute and it's one of my favorite ships.
But I do think a lot of people overreact when it comes to "which character should be with which character and which character is horrible and shouldn't ever be paired with anyone".  This kind of problem spreads across all kinds of fandoms.  There's always this rabid group of "fans" that will hound other fans for little to no reason when it comes to a ship or a portrayal of a character from the franchise that they don't agree with.

I agree with you-- some people are really harsh on Sonamy and Amy Rose.  They're just taking the fandom and the characters WAAAAAY too seriously.  Their behavior rubs off as immature and entitled and, honestly, I think most of the people who act this way within a fandom are children (either physically, mentally or both) and it's just a bad look.

Yeah I just wish people would stop taking it so seriously I mean there is more to Amy than being a fan girl, she's not perfect but I wish people weren't so hard on her I know she's not real but she's 12. I do personally think it could work I always pictured sonamy as one of those romances that have to develop slowly over time kinda like this  fav.me/d4ssble
