What is your religion? You're probably not Christian. Are you a buddhist, hinduist or New Age?

Well, I was born in a Baptist family, but then I quickly became a Darwinist (I studied geology and turned my back on religion) but later I came across a scientific model called "universal consciousness". I took me years to accept this new approach which links things like Buddhist and hinduist philosophies with 21 century quantum physics, cosmology, neuro-sciences. I don't consider myself religious, but I do accept spiritual ideas like an after-life, re-incarnation, there being an ultimate consciousness of which we are part. I suppose you could call me a pantheist if you like.

Puisque tu viens de France, et que je suis tannée de me faire troller par des morons qui viennent nous « faire la morale » parce qu'on croit à l'environnement (j'espère que tu n'en a pas été victime... et que ça n'arrivera pas !), je vais écrire en français mes différentes « batailles » pour l'environnement !
Je suis étudiante, alors mes moyens sont limités, mais heureusement il est souvent simple de se battre contre des stupidités et des incongruités dans l'environnement et dans notre société.
Mais le plus possible, j'essaie d'acheter équitable, biologique, local, biodégradable, recyclé ou recyclable. Si j'avais un peu plus d'argent, j'encouragerais plus souvent les designers locaux qui font des vêtements recyclées. Et tout ça, quand c'Est nécessaire. Je ne tiens pas à vivre selon la simplicité volontaire, mais je crois que certaines choses ont du bon sens:`je ne jette pas une paire de bas seulement parce qu'il y a un trou, je les rerise ! Je ne jette pas une boîte de plastique reçue en cadeau dans laquelle il y avait du chocolat, je la réutilise pour du rangement dans le bureau, par exemple.
Je recycle, j'essaie d'économiser l'énergie, l'eau... certaines choses sont difficiles, car il faudrait rénover afin de mieux isoler notre appartement qui est dans un bâtiment datant de 1930 ( et au Québec, il fait froid ! 
Je n'ai pas de voiture et je vais attendre le plus longtemps possible avant de m'en procurer une. Je marche et prend l'autobus. J'aimerais rouler à vélo mais je n'ai jamais appris à en faire ! 
Bref, je fais des efforts.... il y a des magasins que j'évite carrément, tel que Wal-Mart, les magasins de vêtements qui achètent à des « sweatshops» (et ce n'est pas facile !) J'évite tant que je peux (oh que c'est difficile) un produit de Chine, pour le poids écologique du transport, de leurs usines à charbon, les conditions douteuses de travail.... et pour encourager mon économie.
Si un produit n'est pas essentiel immédiatement, je prends mon temps pour bien le choisir, en considérer les détails écologiques et sociaux....
De plus, une tonne de produits ici au Canada ne sont pas encore assez craints: les OGM, les produits chimiques, les produits manufacturés qui peuvent être mauvais pour la santé.... santé, environnement, société, tout ça est lié, je crois qu'il faut rester informés et savoir que l'on peut voter en achetant .... ou en n'achetant pas !
Voilà, c'était court... et ça m'as pris du temps à répondre car j'étais en fin de session universitaire,... d'ailleurs je suis épuisée, si jamais il y a quelques fautes dans mon texte, mille pardons, je suis très fatiguée et n'arrive pas à me relire proprement
