It's no problem - I wish I had your talent - I can't do digital colouring for the life of me. Do you think you may do a digital-colouring tutorial anytime soon?

I'm pretty bad at explaining my process...and it changes all the time depending on what style I'm doing. If I ever settle on one I'll have to whip one up (as soon as a learn how to screencapture on a mac first! LOL )

It's not childish at all, just probably more stylised and aimed toward a younger age level. That's not a bad thing. But I found I had to completely get off neopets...I needed to focus more on work that would get me jobs and commissions. I do miss all you lovely people back there though.

And I should probably take some art classes. That should help.

Art classes will definitely help. Some life drawing classes really helped I found, just to help you get a sense of form and how real people look. Then you can make them built like superheroes! LOL I'd love to see some more realistic work from you so I can't wait! Not that anime is bad but variety is fun. I've always wanted to try some anime so maybe I'll try! I'm in love with a series I used to watch as a kid, Tekkaman so maybe I'll do some fanart.

Hehe. I think that I'll take an art class or two during the spring semester. I think the reason that I developed such anime style was because I signed up for an art class back in high school and the teacher didn't believe that 'anime style' was a form of art. She was dumb. So I went for a time or two, then dropped the class because she kept failing me. It's not like we were sketching statues on pads, she was like 'Draw your interpretation of blahblahblah,' so I'd turn in an anime-esque drawing that would tick her off. It was actually almost funny.

Anyway, sorry for teh Rant.

Tekkaman... don't think I ever watched it as a kid. I'm still in love with Speed Racer.
