Not much since my family was moving into a bigger apartment at the time. Did go to the movies with friends, saw Underworld Awakening, friends and I liked it. And got two CDs from a friend.

What does anyone think of the new released panels of the A:TLA "The Promise" comics? Me and daydreamer22 were discussing it a couple of minutes ago and we agree that it makes us sick! Here's what my friend said
"To be honest, what I saw in those panels made me furious. How dare they do that to Zuko?! Hasn't he been through enough already? Iroh already taught him what's important in life and he already found himself and accepted his destiny in A:TLA. He became the good, kind-hearted person he was meant to be! So why are they ruining his character development? He has already dealt with his father issues, he would never go crazy with power like his father, come on!
Don't even get me started on the "sweetie" crap. I wouldn't like that silly shit even if I was a hardcore Kataanger, it's just ridiculous!
Since we haven't gotten the whole story yet, I can't truly speak my mind about this, but from what I've seen so far, I have a feeling I won't like "The Promise" at all."

Ok, yeah you're right, I've seen them. It is horrible! All that wonderful character development for nothing it seems! And the "sweetie" crap is just that... crap. To me, the term "sweetie" is a pet name a MOTHER uses for her CHILD, not a boyfriend(who's younger mind you) to his girlfriend. *GAG* Guys just don't say "sweetie", not to mention Aang has NEVER used pet names! And the author/artist claims to be an Avatar "purist"? To me a "purist" wouldn't make all of Zuko's development for naught. It was the reason he was the most interesting character of the series! Now I REALLY don't consider the comics canon! This comic seemed to have started off as mere fanservice, but it's not that great. I was iffy about it from the start, I should've trusted my gut on this... Honestly, my friend and I have come up with a better plot to have happened after the war, I've read better fanfiction even!! Excuse me while I go gag myself.

So what do you think is wrong on the Kataang relationship in the comics? Did it improve in any way at all from what bullcrap he pulls with Katara in the original series, or is it the same or worse?

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, they don't act any differently to each other as a whole, however, the only thing that shows they are in a relationship after the first scene where they kiss is Aang constantly calling her *shudders and gags* "sweetie". That's not something you call your girlfriend who is two years older than you, that's what you call your small child if you are a MOTHER...

From the looks of it, Kataang is just as boring as I would think it would be. Anyway, I'm going to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit my Uncle Andrew and his family. Most of my extended family is going to be there and my little half-sister and my Dad's girlfriend is going to be there too!

What do you think your folks are going to cook on Thanksgiving! Are you going to have anyone else in your house. I haven't been in my Uncle's house since I was 8-9! He moved his family from their nice house a year after I visited them..the problem was that it sat right on the edge of some big hill!

Well, I haven't seen the panels at all! so I don't know. Not to mention, I NEVER consider the comics canon! I don't care if they were written by the two creators themselves, i just don't consider the comics canon! If they were gonna make a comic about what happened AFTER the war, on top of there being a new series 70 years in the future, why not use means of creating the new series, and just making a fourth final season that takes place after the war? Either way, that's just me, and I never consider the comics canon.
