What about pigs in slaughterhouses? What about chiken farming's conditions? What about animal smuggling? There's a lot of inhuman things than happen in this poor world. The mink you see arround my neck comes dates from the 20th century and comes from a breeding. He didn't die by my hands, and he had a better life than all that geese that people enjoy to eat the ill liver on christmas period, as an example.

I don't eat any meat, or eggs, and my only pet is treated just about as well as a family member. I'm not the sort to sooth my conscience by pointing to the fact that it could be worse; it could also be better and that, if I have the power, is what I try to accomplish.

Well, I'm sorry if this dead thing shocks you, perhaps you come from a platonic world, in which case I envy you. In my opinion, men have always destroyed nature, and wear fur (it's relly warm, you should try) it's something to be accepted. Now if you're a friend of animals, then good for you. I hope you'll find other people that can't accept dead animals and go marching with them in the streets to protest against bad people such as me who love fur, stuffed animals and dead butterflies. The condition of the furbearers is naturally a major concern in these troubled times. Make the world and mentalities change if you can.

You're a woman... Men have also always suppressed women and treated them as inferior. Women today earn 20% less than men do, for performing the same work. Is that not an injustice? Is it not something we should try to change? Or should we follow your logic and say, "So it has always been, so it should be accepted?" Ask the black population of America during the 1950s how they felt about that sort of logic. They'd still be riding the back of the bus and being randomly lynched if they'd followed it...

You're absolutely right. That's why the condition of dead animals in the early XXth century is not a major concern, and there are a lot of much more important things concerning humanity who deserve to be fighting for.
And then, it's ridiculous to come and argue with me because of a poor dead mink, died there's a century (and you don't know its story). I have this only vision, does it make me a murderer and fur-bearing, gloating in front of the destruction of animal species?
You don't know me, I don't know you. I'm sad that you think i'm an insensitive animal-killer, but never mind, I'm not your friend, and that's all. This argument is just ridiculous, and if you really want to defend the animal cause, you'd better take it to someone else, more guilty than I am.
