Showdown was pretty fun before, but i stopped and now i really suck at battling. Why do i feel like climbing up the ladder was so much easier before ;/

I played random. Since I'm too lazy to build my team. Anything goes was pretty fun in breaking the game when messing around with a friend. XD
Ugh I don't like the ladder system. It reminds me of LoL where I have to constantly pay to maintain my level :/

Yes! That's exactly what the ladder system is like urg. If I stopped playing even for a day, I fell behind by so many places. It really took the fun out of playing. I think maybe one day I may get back into Showdown, but as of now I just need a break
Random is really good. You should totally make your own team though D: If you can do well in random I'm sure you'd be killer with your own team.
I never heard of anything goes format, but I'm gonna guess that you can basically do whatever you want? xD (too lazy to look it up)

Oooh the anything goes format is funny. Except don't play with random people they'll get mad or you'll get pissed. It's more of a joke thing since you can make pikachu have dragon ascent. (basically breaking the game) I play with friends on those only if I know we're just messing around. haha

Anything goes really reminds me of the hackmons format. I was terrible at that xD I gave all six of my Pokemon the no guard ability and a OHKO move. I always lost xD. I can see why it's better as just for fun. I got so frustrated in hackmons

I didn't do the ohko stuff since I feel like it's pretty cheap and do it on more silly things like making snorlax fly. XD
