Ich habe einmal einen Wolf gezeichnet, weil ich glaubte, die Schmierstreifen, die beim Tafelwischen entstanden waren, sahen aus wie einer... Meine Klasse hat mich etwas seltsam angestarrt, als ich protestierte als die Lehrerin die Tafel erneut putzen wollte, um was neues aufzuschreiben. Dabei habe ich nicht mitgeschrieben, sondern gezeichnet... War wohl nicht gut

My stories are usually based on dreams so it's kind of hard to give you some writing tips (but I will try ^^").

You first need to come up with an idea (I'm sure you know about this). It should be unique so your readers enjoy reading it and can't guess too soon what'll happen next.
This actually sounds easier than it is. You've to read various fanfictions to get an idea of what would be "unique".
Dreams are usually a very good source for unique things since they're yours (and you are unique, so are your dreams).
If that doesn't work, think about a genre first (romance, action, thriller, fairy tales, ... you get the point) then how your characters might act in that genre. Just remember each character has their weaknesses.

Once you thought about a story plot, it's easier to imagine it like a film. That way you don't have to think about the plot too much (the story will almost write itself and you're just the one who writes it down).

Think about various synonyms, so you don't have to use the same word every time.

Try to be as much specific as possible when it comes to something you want to describe. You want your readers to imagine the situation, don't you? (Keyword: adjectives.)
I find it very important to express the feelings you want to express (that sounds difficult). Let me try to explain it like that: If there were a thread between your readers and you, this thread would have to transfer your feelings to your readers. In this case, the thread would be your story.

Last but not least, read and check your story to see if you made mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes and it can also happen that you miss your mistakes. Anyways, your sentences will be easier to understand when they don't look like "u now i think there shoes r dirty" (this is just an example for similar things I've read once). No one likes sentences like these.
