my daughter has been sick with a cold flu thing on and off for the last 3 or 4 weeks...so that's been tough. Other than that just working and having a lot of fun learning.

I'll have some new art up really soon. I'm making sort of the transition from working with the smaller acrylics to larger oil pieces.

Tonight I am going to move around a little oil paint. If I end up with a picture I'll post it up.

Not 100% sure what I am going to draw yet/.

well as for what im working on... well a friend lent me his 28-105 lens witha macro seting so im having lots of fun with that XD.
also just got my self a drawing tablet (i think its called a grafic tablet but i donno if thats the one with a screan or not) mines just a drawing tablet not a screen but it rocks XD
12x7 "in senser area but it can also change to 9x7 (use that mostly) so iv been working on some digital drawing might have 1 done soon

and other then that still got that window drawing to work on and started a cactus drawing
done a new pastel XD looks good i think
and then theres that weekly life drawing

err... sorta a big comment ROFL

good. I was wondering where you went.

usually silence means working, which is great!

I started painting so I am struggling through the initial growing pains with taking on something new.

My studio at home (the one in my house I call an "office") is pretty small so the fumes from the turpentine and different oil paints is really stinky. I am probably going to have to move the stuff out to the garage for a bit. I'll work out there until I get things figured out a bit more....really fun though.

hehe unforunatly in my case this silence was because i was sick lol

i kind of hate turpentine.. if i dont use it for a while it gives me a head ache ... i mostly do plenair with oils though but if i do paint at home its usaly sort of outside (half my house is ownly cove3red witha palapa with no walls its actualy prity sick though its ownly posible because of where i live ROFL. if i think about it if i was back in canada with this house id praobly have to be insain XD

ya i know what you meen about the struggling with a new mediem i just resently started using pastels (though for some reson im doing rather well) maby because its a easy step from all this drawing i have been doing and the fact that i dont have to mix the paints rofl

I really do like what you are doing.

right now I am doing all my work with NO manipulations, and no crops basically. Either I get a good photo or I don't,

It's just an experiment...I DO like to work with all kinds of fun PS stuff but I am trying to do 1 year of daily spontaneous pics with no smoke and mirrors to develop my skills.

so sometimes the stuff might seem boring.

it won't as I build onto it.

I do have a name...

It's pretty simple and something I want to continue my entire life.

I don't want to say the name online yet...too many artists here...I am all for sharing but I also have some stuff that I want to use before it's out there public.



The reason I am not doing any adjustments on the photos is to really boil the process down. I work as an artist/illustrator and I can tweak things and make something that is maybe plain into something more special...but I want to build the foundation of my work.

so I am not letting myself put "frosting" on the cake.

I will. Just not yet.

that's a great idea/

I do a LOT of drawing each day...so I am always getting that part of me exercised but it's a really good idea for anyone who wants to become a better artist.

How many hours a day do you draw?

I put in about 10-14...it's what I do so I am always working (drawing)...I also work normally 7 days a week although I don't do those hours every day (weekends are always less)

I break my day into chunks. I work from 8 am to 11. Then I work from 12-4 PM./ Then I work again from about 8 PM until 2 am.

I'll be watching...again I am trying to stay offline as much as possible...so don't worry I will check out the art when I can.

Thanks a lot...it's been really tough at times...but I think as long as I do it....it will be worth it at the end of the year and those "off" days...won't really matter as much as achieving this goal.
