lol!! yupyup I signed up ages ago but I just started using it again, I'm very stunned to!! ^^ it's great to find someone interested in art/drawing etc..!! .
Illustrator YEH for sure!! and you'll have to show me how to hold a paintbrush!. Photoshop will probably be more suited to your style but I'm no good at it ! Illustrator is a sinch* but you have to be patient with both these type of programs!!

I painted a theatre set for christmas carol once... I got 8 year olds who didn't get picked for roles in the play to tell me what to write on the headstones...

"stabbed 36 times and bled to death" was one of my personal favorites...
