if it means making the world a better place to live then yes. criminals are constantly getting out early for things they did because of lawyers and such. considering everything the way that light killed was at the very least more humane than torture. he did what he had to do. you are just defending matsuda even though when you first replied to me it was that you like Light. even though you like beyond more which probably explains most of your recent responses. i know that my responses as well have been discrimatory towards near and such. the reason why i hate matsuda is because he shot at the wrong person for Soichiro Yagami's death. It was because near let mello get away that Soichiro died and the fact that he hesitated.

first of all. Matsuda was only doing what he thought was right.
Second of all: Light had the right idea, but however, his 'solution' was wrong. I agree that many people could get out of something like that, but it's better to leave the guilty alive than killing the innocent. And some of the crimes some people committed are not necessarily punishable by death. There is a reason why the society thousands of years ago failed when they tried to kill everyone that did something wrong. The legal systems today work for a reason as well. Yes, some people might not be punished, but i believe in karma, and they must've done something right or they will be punished one way or another by fate.

it is not a mistake because it is part of human nature to be corrupt and unjust. L did nothing wrong, yet Light killed him. Light killed a lot of innocent people just so he could create a world that HE wanted, and not what is necessarily good for humanity. because after all, light is human and it is in the human nature to commit sins. If light goes against his own rules, shouldn't he punish himself? but he doesn't because he believes that he is god. No human, at least until they die, can know that they are god. Light is simply trying to gain power, and killing people to achieve that, hence making himself a criminal, so shouldn't he be killed by the death ntoe?

you spelled Death Note wrong...and he was. and i wasn't finished before...had to get ready to go. matsuda still did it out of the thought of Light's father because even matsuda said that he agreed with KIRA. if Light didn't kill L then he would not have lowered the worldwide crime rate. if he didn't kill L then the world would just be the same. and even so from the previous reply you sent...eventually even the lowest class of criminals develop and become worse. the innocent people huh... lets see besides the con artist, L, and the thief by trade...Kyomi Takada is the only innocent person i can think of who was killed. though you probably wouldn't count her as innocent because she used the Death Note would you. Also human nature or not...sin or not...if he didn't do anything then there would still be more sin. Must get sleep... it is 1:37 here. i will respond again later.

sorry i spelled death note wrong. it was just a typo. even though matsuda agreed with kira, he still thought that killing people for justice is wrong. killing L was wrong, because he was the best detective in the world, and now how would light know when the people are wrongly accused? Takada was not innocent as she killed people. If light was right, then why did no one continue his reign? surely other people had the death note. Human nature is to sin, and that is unstoppable, so even if Light was to stop the crime rate, there is no guarantee that the crime rate would drop to zero. sorry for the late reply, somethings came up and i was busy. i will try to respond sooner.

its okay...irony i was just about to contact you today. actually he didn't feel it was wrong he just felt his own guilt of having to put past what he is trained to do in his job. he got overemotional and started shooting Light several times even after he was disarmed with the watch. Killing L was the only thing he could really do to survive... it's not like he could just wait there and expect to lose.(if you want the Death Note movie shows Light losing if you feel any better about it.) He could tell if people were wrongly accused because Light is also a great detective. and even if not... the anime didn't specify whether or not he did know if they were wrongly accused. Well if people did have the Death Note... then aren't you encouraging the idea that Light was right...you mentioned why they didn't use it...and even if human nature is to sin which you continue to mention for some reason... it doesn't mean that you should accept the sin as a meaningless act. if you kill someone then do you think that that person's life doesn't matter. the only justifiable way to be forgiven i believe is to die for all of your sins. in a way...(don't know if i mentioned this before) KIRA was merciful and had them die of a heart attack which honestly seems like a way to die of forgiveness. Death by the heart sounds pretty honorable.

honorable? why would a heart attack be honorable? and why would kira want criminals to die in a dignified way? Light is not humane or honorable. he was just a high school student with an abundance of time and happened to have the death note.

well i didn't exactly mean honorable...i meant it more as a metaphor. death by the heart which provides life sounds like somewhat a beautiful and poetic way to die. and even if he did let them die in a dignified way then it would be kind of too forgiving. be happy that he didn't have them just stab themselves multiple times and die for like an hour... there is something that i forgot to mention concerning...oh yeah now i remember. it was about your reply that why didn't anyone else use the Death Note. It is because the Shinigami King is rarely tricked into letting a Shinigami go into the human world with another Death Note. And Rem just brought the Death Note to Misa because of love from both Rem and Jealous.
