Awww... now I feel all warm and fuzzy! Thanks! Truthfully, I do miss everyone- you included, but I went on vacation and now I get this sense of dread as I near my DA account- like a large room that needs to be cleaned and you don't know where to start. I want so badly to just delete all deviations and messages and start anew, but... I'd feel scroogish if I did that. Someday, I'm going to tackle all the deviations in my inbox, then you'll hear a lot from me.

I just re-read my comment to you, and I kind of came off like some know-it-all, that wasn't my intention.
Of course you don't HAVE TO use water, there are different techniques, but if you are going to use any medium at all with acrylics it's water, and it just sounded like you thought Perkan had used some special trick in his painting, that's all

I went on a two week tour of Eastern Europe in the summer of 2003. It was paid for by a local North-of-Boston Jewish philanthropist. The idea of the trip was for Jewish teens to reconnect with their heritage. 64 Americans went, as well as 36 Israelis, who we met on the first day in Warsaw. I ended up going on a follow-up trip to Israel in December 2003, but I haven't posted pictures from that yet.

I'm working on it! I haven't scrapped the facial study... it's just a lack of time and when I get time it's a lack of energy. Excuses, excuses... I know. But it's true! I painted something in art today, though, that I think I'm going to submit as soon as I get it back. Be patient- Screens procrastinator.

Just go back to what you wanted it to be. Remember what Bates said? If you write for others, it won't be what it should. Forget how much everyone liked it, and maybe next time, don't post updates as often... that way you won't get in this crunch as often. Don't show ANYONE- except me, of course
