I am a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter and a friend (amongst many other things) I am old enough to be an adult and to appreciate how awesome that is. Life is a thing that continues to amaze me on a daily basis with it's variegated beauties. I love any opportunity to express myself creatively. There is no other form of therapy that is more conducive to mental well being. Art surrounds us everyday if we only take the time to see it. It can be in something as mundane as an advertisement in a magazine or as obvious as a master work in a museum. thanks! i love what you do with the markers. it is incredible the amount of detail. reminds me of some of the stuff i did when i had hours of time in boring classes in college sort of - i just don't devote enough time to the details like i should i know. yours is so intricate. mad props. i saw you ewere from philly so i'll let you know about a show a group of us are putting up in york for the whole month of july at the york college gallery. it's myself and also Sweetwaterlily and ILL-FATED-USHER and xxempress and Vimes9 and a bunch of others. if you get a chance to be in the york area during that month you should check it out. yeah shameless self promotion! oh, and do you do any work in paints? i think your stuff would translate to canvas in an amazing way.

i'm glad you like my stuff! you know, i would love to start working in paints, but i'm kind of imtimidated by them. i don't really know where to start (oils or acrylics?). i should just give them a try sometime though, they're probably not that scary (i hope! haha).

I was pleased to see the article in the paper regarding all of this going on at Borders! I will be sure to write a letter to the paper about this, letting them know just how I feel about this kind of behavior... even if it IS something that I would expect from such a narrowminded town as York, PA.
aside from that... I was meaning to ask you about the awesome clock with all the kewl things glued all over it that you had up along with all of the rest of your work at Borders(well, except for the now-famous political piece... well, almost famous). I am really very much intrigued by it... and am wondering how much you are asking for it? That is, if no one else has gotten to ask you this before me...

so i am at a loss as to this banned from borders situation. a formal outdoor protest seems a bit extraneous, especially because the private property rules would have us standing in the street. i just don' t think it would be all that effective. The York Daily Record is doing a piece on this, and any letters to the paper about it would be awesome. any leters to anywhere about this would be awesome actually. i just want to inspire dialogue about art, our freedoms, and what it means to be free in america. It is the duty of any patriotic american to question what our government does, right? i am not angry at borders. i am annoyed at people who are narrow minded and obviously insecure in their own beliefs abot our political structure. If you can't take an alternate point of view and deal with it, you need to seriously examine yourself and your own motives. i'm sick of being told i'm un-american because i disagree with what our government is doing. If i wanted to be a sheep, i'd transplant furry wool all over my body, making sure to grow extra to pull over my own eyes.
