Wow, Dustin was right, your pretty awesome...and as for your coin toss scenario on your status...Pursue art man, I wish I could get back into it...stupid artistic block...BUT I would still plan on getting some sort of degree some time soon

When I have artists block I look at some of my older work and try to re-do something with a new look and new skills

I did something similar, I was cleaning, and found the script to a comic I was working on with a friend, got me looking for an artist to add to the team lol, Because writing, doing the art, and all the concept stuff would destroy my grey matter...
And as for doing both, there are always net courses you can take in some off time, also, best suggestion I can give you, is hound those peeps, send your portfollio out there, and call them, often, touch base, let them know you WANT this to happen, and can make it happen, no different than any other job hunt

Always sounds silly when I discuss it, while trying not to give away too much, Its a gothic fantasy book, set in semi modern day, Most of theology of the book is my own warped perspective on religion, I think, they are all pretty much the same, just translated, and or presented differently...
