I HAD TO GO TO A WORKSHOP AFTER THAT AND PEOPLE KEPT STARING AT ME BECAUSE I JUST KEPT SMILING LIKE AN IDIOT

Randy was really sweet throughout the entire thing. He has no idea who this guy is and barely who he himself  is, but he's still in full support of Howard. The part that got me though was that even without remembering anything about the ninja or the ninja's legacy, he could still recognize un-ninja like conduct. The BEST thing about Randy, and the show in general, to me anyway, is that the protagonist actually DOES have a heart of gold and they don't even need to remind us every few episodes, he displays it on his own in the most subtle of ways.

I'm really angry right now though, I missed the first few minutes of the first part so I just came in and Howard in a KFC suit what.

That Randy Theresa moment though omg. I've been whispering "you smell like rainbows" and covering my face all day. The fact that the person he decided to hang out with since Howard was busy was Theresa was interesting in that of itself, and then looking at her face with how Howard beat up the robot (she was really uncomfortable and I'm starting to think she knows who the ninja is) I have no idea what rainbows smell like (I'd imagine like...water...) but I've been doodling her bathing in unicron sparkles/blood/ bathing in an actual rainbow/setting up a prism in her room and sending light through it to try to negate how cute the whole thing was.

AND THE NOMICON TALKING HNNNNNNNNNNG MAN WHY IS THAT BOOK SUCH A GOOD CHARACTER? IT IS A BOOK IT SHOULDN'T BE A GREAT CHARACTER IT SHOULD BE A PROP. "Randy srsly u r the ninja. You're the ninja for a reason man you're bumming me out. This is the second time I've had to tell you you're the ninja because hEART GET IT TOGETHER THERE'S A REASON YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE MINDWIPE."

Speaking of mindwipe, I've seen peope be a bit concerned about how Randy lost ALL of his memory? If anyone comes t you with it, I think they should notice that Randy barged in. It seems like the more light that touches you the more you forget, so Randy sshould be fine after his ninja period. The wipe also seems necessary, because having all these past ninjas running around could be dangerous, they can't all be secretive forever, plus they could be easily kidnapped and tortured for info. Of course they'd need a mindwipe if not just for saftey reasons.

But yeah that episode man. So great. brb crying at hOW GREAT IT WAS I'M NOT READY FOR NEXT WEEK I NEED A WHOLE 2 TO RECOVER.

(Anything in brackets may be frivilous- I wrote this then rewatched and edited it, what's in bold is my most likely conclusion and every thing ater that is expounding on it)

[They might be doing the same thing with that detail as they did with freeing the chicken and the fact that there is a mindwipe at ALL- Simply not telling us the deets until later which is somewhat frustrating.

I read the Tumblr tag today and someone mentioned it, I think they said that he might have been ejected so early he didn't even REQUIRE a mindwipe, as in he didn't know enough to be considered enough of a threat in that aspect. (AKA the Nomicon/ whoever else is in charge of ninja selection and maintenance messed up. It's not too far fetched given the show's nature for someone to have not seen him as enough of a threat without the suit to mindwipe. If that's the case someone's gonna point it out and whoever's fault it was is gonna have to make up for it while wiping the egg off of their face)

There's also added that it seems like whatever gets wiped form the ninja gets added to the book. The book may not have wanted anything Antfee had to offer so it didn't wipe him. The show's explanation was that the wipe is to add new info to the Nomicon, so if Antfee had no (good) info Antfee doesn't need a wipe.

Antfee could have also refused a wipe like it sounds like you said. Cowboy Jed could have had so much trouble trying to simply get the book back the wipe took a lesser priority and it just didn't happen.

Or Antfee only got a semiwipe because something dumb happened. and by dumb I mean "something that interrupted it but that's too ambiguous for me to say what could have happened, and the next ep is likely to shed more light in the nature of the Nomicon"

Or it could just be an unfortunate plothole. Good thing is it's patchable. Easily patchable.

There's like 100 ways to explain it. Half of them are probably bull but hey.]

Ignoring all of that though, because I'm rewatching the scene right now- It looks like the ultimate lesson is that the ninja's knowledge must be shared, even at the expense of remembering his time as the ninja. The whole point of the mindwipe isn't even anything I've said, it's legit so they can add the information to the Nomicon. Antfee's experience didn't need to be added to the Nomicon, he wasn't ready for the ultimate lesson. The whole concept of the Nomicon's mindwipe is to carry on the ninja's legacy. Antfee was cut off from that legacy and was forever damned to not even be mentioned in it, a sort of banishment or rebuke if you will, like when someone gets kicked out of their family for questionable acts. The mindwipe is to join all of the past successful ninja's in one book to create more successful ninjas in the future. McAntfee had nothing of value t add. That's what I'm getting from what was said in the episode"

In that line of thinking though, it also proves the Nomicon wasn't creatively lying when it said there was no mind wipe before. There's a wipe, but not one that just makes all of the information go away, it has to store it.

This is all from the line- his mind was wiped from all he has learned so that his experience may be added to the ninjanomicon 

That means the Nomicon is a collection of ninja experiences and it should be easier on every subsequent ninja than the last, so it's literally an ever growing body of work. (Also explains it's unorthodox new age teaching methods)

That said, and I'm branching out a bit, that also means that since it has all of the experiences/memories stored in itself it could likely UNWIPE anyone it saw fit to. I just think that's cool.

Yeah that makes sense. Man though, give me all the depressed fics about this, eh? I was gonna write a fic for secret trio about Randy worrying about losing his powers and this development makes it even better!

On the subject of mac antfee again, I was thinking about it and if we consider the setup, it doesnt look like the nomicon can force a ninja to give up his memories. Like, it's something they willingly do with full knowledge of what's gonna happen (at least in that flashback). So if Mac didn't want to be mindwiped, I don't think they could force him... 

And you're right about Nomi not being interested in Mac's brain. I'm sure that book was just so done with him. But still, I don't think Nomi would have let him go unwiped if at all possible because Mac clearly is a threat, and he's gonna keep being a threat to several generations of Ninjas to come. All because he wasn't mind wiped and knows what was taken from him and what he missed out on. Like that's his whole deal. So I dunno, conflicted, hopefully it'll be cleared up soon

I actually completely agree with what you said though, is what I mean. I don't think we have any info to think of anything really, not to mention I'm THE WORST person in the fandom to talk about Antfee with. You'd probably know more than me in that specific area f the show, I don't pay attention to Antfee as much as I probably should.

Haha okay. I like Anfee as a character because, like, he's just plain crazy. He's worse than McFist in terms of planning and execution. I mean, his plan was to take a bunch of kids, train them to be dicks, and then sick them on the ninja? How was that ever going to work? Anyone going to Norrisville High has so much hero worship for the ninja that it borders on brainwashing. There's no way some fat shouty guy is gonna change that so quickly. Plus, what would he even do one he had the suit? If the Nomcon and immortal cowboy/Bruce McCheese got it from him once, they can do it again... He is just a sad angry man with no plan who just lets his ambitions take him away. I like those sort of villains because they tend to be more unpredictable and there is little point in reasoning with them...

So Basically Antfee's so crazy and unpredictable (and selfish) it's actually scarier than someone who plans.  tbh I missed Stank'd to the Future so my knowledge is limited to Ninja Camp and things people happen to mention, sort of why I don't know or pay as much attention to Mac. I actually didn't realize how many episodes I'd missed until yesterday, I had thought I'd watched them all. This is what happens when you watch out of order.

I'm really excited to see his role in the coming up episodes now, at least more than I already was.

I should probably use this week to look for any other episodes I missed...
