Well he's how I can best describe them.
The Vootra are a mixture between elf and Quarian (from Mass Effect), three fingers, sharp ears, ability to use psychic abilities, live long lives. In essence look similar to humans, creators of the Arack. Joined the Federation after achieving victory against the Sanglok.
The ArackΒ (Vootran for robot) are a autonomous species that gained autonomy within the Vootran Sovereignty after a war for rights. Bodily structure is similar to the Vootra save for their heads, which is pretty much a large screen.
The Sanglok are a lizard-like species, mixture of various forms (Argonians from Elder Scrolls to the Alien things from Zathrua) that were originally a very aggressive militant species. Joined the Federation after losing a war with them.
Levani, literally a race of giant sentient space squids. Can live up to millions of years and are the precursors to all space-faring sentient life forms. Cappable of spewing acid and sharp teeth. They can communicate using telekinesis or translatored by the Arack. Joined the Federation when made first contact after the unification of the various species.
Morgantians vary, a majority are human but there are Daemons (legit elves named Demons by zealot humans and the name just stuck), Beastmen (varying groups of animal-like humanoids), Vampirum (Vampires), and Dragur (the Undead). Morgantia is somewhat of a question planet for its mythological backgrounds. Unified as a planetary government under the Daemon Lord of the Dragonian Empire and the United Republics of Crosis. Joined the federation some centuries later after first contact.
