I was wondering why you translate "Ventus" with "I ranted" (in your signature)?
But maybe my Latin is just too rusted or I'm missing something else...

Nah, it's a play on words: Venting = ranting? ergo: Ventus = I Rant LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Confused I know of no way that a word with the ending -us could be translated with "I rant(ed)". Infact the ending ventus is a passive past participle (from "venire"=to come, so "ventus sum" would mean something like "I have been come" or "I have been ranted" if you like your a deriviation) or noun (ventus = the wind) ...
but it doesn't really matter anyway I guess Wink/Razz

No, no, not in the literal. I know that ventus means wind.

I was using it like slang, meaning that when someone is on a rant, they are venting (like: "He was spleen venting all over the place") And I used the familiar "I came, I..." and inserted a play on words....
