Well uh it's a bit hard to explain. Do you have Photoshop? c: It'll be much easier to explain if you did, but I guess you could do it on GIMP too.

Well the hourglass was commissioned so there's not much you can do about that unfortunately. And if you have GIMP it would be really helpful if you installed this:

Photoshop has these, they're layer styles.
It's very easy to find the Pokemon logo - just search for it on Google Images xD After I got it, I just colorized it to that shade of brown but you can do whatever you want with the logo.
As for the text just try and use a simple font, nothing too fancy. I used a picture of sand dunes and clip masked it to the text.
Overall it's very hard to explain, there weren't any specific steps, I just played around. You could play around with those layer styles, but I put a stroke and drop shadow on everything in the logo. I also made them glossy but I'm sure you could find a tutorial for that effect
