An engineer friend once assured me that I could solve all technical issues by waving a frozen chicken over the malfunctioning device and chanting "Ia! Ia! Cthulhu Fthagn! Ph'nglui mglw'nfah Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!"
I've never quite been able to get the pronunciation right, but perhaps you shall fare better?

How have you been?

Tired. Lost a good friend and still miss them deeply even though every now and then I'm sure I'm finally okay with it. In a quandary about how to resolve how I feel about an aimless brother of mine. I suppose I'm in a good spot but my body has been so sore this past year I might as well be 60.
Oh well, life's tough. I did just beat Portal on a new laptop and I'm presently (finally) testing out writing with a speech-to-text engine so I guess on that front, i can't complain.
Indeed. Unfortunately, looks like the local open-mic stomping grounds at the Uni has been given a big punch to the nose with the local Unibar no longer able to be a venue (requesting a fair amount of money since they don't make enough).
Performance poetry seems to be quite big in this area; it is a tad odd as a number of the ways I approach writing is visual in presentation but lacks the necessary distinctness of phrase to stand up to being performed with real verve. So, while I'm no performance poet aspirant, I have tried to incorporate elements of the style.
