[A]h, work ; for Grell, it was literally neverending! A multitude of petty complaints would leave their lips as their pen scratched at the files in their hand. The day had barely come and gone, yet they'd lost count of all the souls they'd already reaped. For all their time lost, they could've had some horrid strings of affairs to review, but alas, they were as lackluster as possible. On days like this, they could've sworn the bosses were out to get them. To make them suffer.
[T]hings only got interesting when another figure caught their eye -- someone Grell didn't remember ever seeing before. Their eyes remained on him as he moved about, him being the only thing to distract them at the moment. That was, until they witnessed him tossing a match into a random house and burning it down ; with humans most likely inside. They instantly boiled over in frustration, their fury almost rivaling the heat of the fresh fire. This'd mean even more work for them!
[W]ith a frustrated snarl, they stomped themselves over to the other, hands upon hips as if they were about to scold a misbehaving child. No sugarcoating this, they were going at him with all fangs and no pleasantries.
"HEY, YOU!"
"YOU MUST THINK IT'S REAL FUCKIN' FUNNY TO GIVE A GIRL MORE WORK, EH?!" [O]f course, the other would probably have no idea what the hell they were talking about. Not every being knew of a Grim Reaper's duties.

( after such a long, labor-filled day of work, grell felt as if they deserved to treat themselves to a 'tiny' shopping trip. )
( they'd just entered a jewelry store, one they'd had the chance to check out for a while, but hadn't been granted the chance to. they'd had their eye on this fancy looking, ruby encrested set of earrings since seeing them through the store window, and were determined to get their hands on them. )
( upon entering, they found they didn't have quite enough to cover them, though, and while they were absolutely certain nobody was looking, they slipped the little package into their jacket pocket. this wouldn't be their first time shoplifting, to be blunt. )
( upon exiting they heard someone approach them, and with a slight glance down their eyes caught sight of a (rather short) teenager. most likely to ask for directions, from his timid disposition. )
( what he does end up asking, however, sets off a spark of annoyance within them. )

( their head cants to the side once the other doubles over, seemingly in pain. it's not out of concern though, rather judgement. )
( there's no comment given at first, and they continue to stare him down until he jolts upright and begins running his mouth. ) "slow down, you! i can barely keep up!"
"that's on you. you should've kept it in a safer place."( they briefly chide him as if they're his parent, a hand setting itself on their hip as they lean forward slightly in attempt to reduce the barrier between their heights. ) "like i said, i don't give my money away to greedy brats!"
"can't you just go home and eat something if you're so desperate?"

( as the other went silent, grell simply stared down at him, blankly. as if waiting for something else to happen. )
( feet shift beneath them once notice the building tears and sorrow from the other, brows raising slightly. this initial shock only lasts for a few seconds, however, before a smirk that's just too high on the sadistic side, comes in. )
( of course they relish in his moment of suffering, no matter how small. )
( that is, before it becomes plain annoying. he's just standing in front of them, pathetically sobbing his eyes out. there are no words for how pathetic he looks to them right now. )
( a foot sets forward as they prepare to start chewing him out. it wouldn't make him stop crying, obviously, but hopefully it'd get him to leave them alone. )
"YOU THINK AN ACT OF WOE IS GOING TO GET ME TO COUGH SOMETHING UP?!"

( their initial response to the other's obvious display of fear is to reply with a cruel, toothy grin. )
( meant to tell the other that they enjoy his suffering. )
( though, it falters following his accusation, and just like that, fury boils over them like a pot that's been left on the stove for too long. ) "WELL EXCUUUUUSE YOU! YOU DARE ACCUSE ME OF THEFT?!"( to be fair, theft wasn't exactly implied in his inquiry. )
