Hey man, just gonna drop a little update:
Found someone who would be glad to write guest articles on various subjects, a very good writer, and good with grammar/spelling. I know we are capable of this, but we have better things to do with our time, if you know what I mean.
I'm in the process of getting a story writer (a good one) to write some stories, for a future story section that's going to find it's way to avlabsdesign.com, on the community side (once it launches).
Dallas (another comic/abstract artist friend) recently returned from ComiCon, I haven't spoken with him, but when I do, hopefully I'll hear that he did some networking while there. Of course, I'm sure he just drooled at the hot chicks, and got autographs. Who knows.
I've been TRYING to work on some new layouts, but, damningly, motivation has died again. I have also been thinking of a standard for our portfolios, but I think we'll (Corey, yourself, and I) have to brainstorm together on this one. You should mess around with some ideas yourself, and, if you talk to Corey yourself, inform him to do the same.
Here's some motivational crap:
All images could be cut down to 512x512 (I love power of 2 for some reason), and the hues and saturations could flow, like darker blue pictures would flow into daker greens, then into lighter greens, etc. etc.
Slap all this into a folder, with a simple web page with thumbnail links to the pictures.
Just an idea, run with it, ditch it, spit on it, do whatever. We just need to get some content, and self-glorification on the sight (that was smart-assedness).
