The Worthless Protoplasm is an enigmatic enemy encountered in EarthBound. They are found in Brick Road's first dungeon, and appear in the Fourside Department Store after the lights are shut off. They reappear on Dungeon Man's first floor.
In the overworld, they appear as a Present. In battle, they appear as blue-purple slimy creatures with beady black eyes.
Worthless Protoplasms, true to their names, are weak foes that can easily be beaten, as they have low stats, and their only form of offense is the standard bash. They will often render themselves useless by sizing up the situation, self-inducing a strange feeling.
