It was the animated looking Iron man, with his armor in an exploded view. I guess it's not a turnaround, but I really like that one lol.

Any advise for a new kid in the sketch card biz? I'm working on my first official set now, but want to get the ball rolling with multiple sets.

First off, congrats on your first pro set!!! Very awesome! What set is it?? Well deserved, dude. You do really slick, dynamic work! People are gonna dig you!

And I'm not sure I have much advice to offer if you've already locked your first set. Check in and get familiar with the Scoundrel forums, lots of business (both professional and commissions) can come from there. Make your own threads in the proper sections of the board, update with personal work, and of course, once your current set is approved, make your own thread in the set's board as well! Lots of editors browse the Scoundrel forums, and it can lead to other work! Also, when new sets are announced, Scoundrel creates new boards for them. That's when you know it's the best time to chase down editors for a spot on the set.

Also, I'm sure it goes without saying, but follow the contracts to a tee, communicate issues/problems/questions with your editor, pace yourself well (plan a schedule to get them all done), and send them back in time for the deadline! As obvious as it sounds, it's your best bet for getting invited back for new sets!

Thanks for the words. Scoundrel is my next stop. Just want to sit down and navigate my way around first. My first set is "Bombshells" for Bad Axe Studios. Starting those in the next week or two after I finish up my personal Avengers set.

Absolutely! Just finished watching the individual Marvel films. Personally, I think Ironman will carry the movie.

haha Excellent! I'm actually doing a marathon with some friends next Thursday. We're doing Captain America, Iron Man I and II, Hulk, and Thor, and then going to the theater to see Avengers at midnight. Gonna be a blast!

As for sketch card sets, I just finished Marvel Beginnings II a few weeks ago, and a set for the 501st's Celebration VI set, and now I'm about halfway through Mars Attacks Heritage. Not sure what's next, because that's the last one I've got scheduled for a while. If I hear of anything else, I'll shoot you a heads up!!
